A grilled cheese sandwich and potatoe chipshappy

Whats Irish bacon?

Irish bacon is from the upper back of the pig. It is cured and smoked. Very similar to Canadian bacon. But has a fat ring around the meaty center. Fry it like you would belly bacon. The only real difference is that it has a more tender consistency.bigsmile

It contains less fat than belly bacon. It is also grand in boiled cabbage with potatoes. Just cut it thicker.

I personally feel it taste much better than other cuts of bacon. Even the Canadian bacon. I just like to eat bacon no matter what cut it is. It did give a grand favor to the BLT. Had it for lunch but have enough for dinner now.

Have not been a fan of pizza, unless I prepare one here. In Portland there is place called Kells Irish restaurant. They serve Irish bacon.

I like the pepper smoked bacons. The apple smoked, is one of my favorites. Like the jalapeño bacon too.

Yes I looked. Try the place I do believe you would enjoy it very much. They moved much of the place from Ireland. The food is very much like you would find in Ireland.
