history will appreciate him

They say history isn't made by historic people, it's made by history writers. Obama started out making big promises about many things and failed to honor the agreements and promises he made. In the process he has turned the left and the center from support and helped the right more than they could have imagined. He does not not appear to understand the difference between promises and action. He is so afraid of "political correctness" that he appears paralyzed from taking action on a large number of subjects from immigration to cutting government programs. These issues will be written in history.

Obama's health care bill was a mistake that his party is now paying the price. Universal health care is expensive and claiming it will cost nothing to the taxpayer was one of the many promises that is now causing him to look the fool. These subjects too will go down in history.

Maybe he will do something "big" in the next two years. I think he will veto anything the house does to reverse his agenda but nothing can make the Republican controlled house fund anything at all. It looks like "political correctness" will rule the last two years of his term.

history has not yet recorded a perfect president, nor a president who was able to accomplish EVERY campaign initiative

historical scholars look at a collection of accomplishments and attributes which the media fed public rarely has the interest in doing 'in the moment'

history will appreciate this president

Unlike "days of yore" history is now being written in real time. Of course some will come later but your unfailing faith and support of Obama is being shared by a rapidly shrinking base. History may not remember him the way you would.

most will come later, when a true assessment of the IMPACT of his term can be made

Have you seriously actually ever compared him to the man we currently have? GW was a saint.

Bush may not have been the greatest, but I wouldn't call him a failure by any stretch. That's just how the media portrayed him, and everyone bought it. I defy anyone to come up with things Bush did wrong.

Going to Iraq to kill bin laden for 9/11 was the most prominent.
Being diplomatically illiterate along with his regular illiteracy.
Making America a torture tyrant.
Helping the slide in our economy to slide a little faster but not for the rich folks.

Now I agreed with him about what to do with illegal immigration.
And a couple of other things.
For the most part though he was a disgrace to this country.

What we have now is in comparison to Bush is a great leader.

It was partially. Now when I say point out anything he's done wrong, of course I know he's made his mistakes. I thought the bailouts were a bad idea, I don't care for his stance on immigration, and he never communicated well enough about the war.

I just want others to give actually concrete reasons why they look down on Bush.

Ok, fail. He went to Iraq for entirely different reasons, it had nothing to do with Bin Laden himself. Are you saying we should've left Hussein in power?

He's not illiterate, and I'll need examples of how he's illiterate when it comes to diplomacy.

I don't even know what a torture tyrant is. And again, examples will be needed.

Doesn't it bother you being a pawn of those who use the socio-economic divide to further their agenda's? Stop hating people purely for being successful. BTW, look at the GDP and unemployment under Bush compared to under Obama.

Of course you'd agree with him about immigration, one of the few areas I disagree with him about.

Show us why Obama is a great leader. Because I can give a dozen reasons to the contrary.

I dont look down on him, anymore than I look down on Shaq for not being the best basketball player,,,,,I just dont think either is prepared enough for the position they took,,,,

It was just embarassing on the world stage to have someone representing America who was so LAGGING in intelligence and etiquette with the rest of the worlds leaders,,,

So your reasoning is because he's misused words? Or because he's made some mistakes speaking? Guess what; it happens. How about Obama, who uses the word um about a million times every unscripted interview or speech.

not SOME mistakes, PAGES upon PAGES of mistakes(not mis speaking either, CLEAR MISTAKES)

he just was not PROFESSIONAL material, something I kind of expect of a national leader,,,
