Apparently, something with which you don't agree and/or like. You could at least have the common courtesy to pretend at a discussion instead of just trolling for reactions with emoticons.

Join the discussion with relevant rebuttal or don't. But quit acting like a juvenile deliquent on a Saturday night vandalism rampage.

Fanta,

So, I'm supposed to gladly play the part of the fool for you? You say you're sorry, but you're still doing it by dismissing me with a 'lighten up, man' and a caricature of an apology.

Secular government? Is that your litmus test? You believe in a higher power? Poof! You are out of the running. Humanists, environmentalists, hell, communists- many with a fervor for their own version of religion would not meet that same litmus test would they? It's amazing how inteligent some of us see ourselves. Too smart by half. Answer this Einstein, what is at the end of space? Imagine yourself there, if there is a "there" and zoom in with the galaxies flying by, the Earth coming into view as a dot smaller than the head of a pin. Watch out! You almost crashed into Neptune! The Earth is now a blue ball in a sea of dead planets, growing larger, larger..... finally you can make out the continents, the countries, the states, cities, and zap, there you are. The king of knowlege. In the grand scheme of things not so much as a blip on the radar screen of life. I was an atheist until the age of 32. Hopefully your globe will be shaken to make the snow fall before you are fertilizer one day. It sure would suck for you to be wrong, eh? Food for thought. It is not about religion. It is about faith. Everyone has faith in one form or another. To say people who believe in a higher power are solely responsible for death, corruption, or any other negative point you want to make is wrong and very narrow minded. Your fear of your future is screaming at me. Peace brother.

I understand why you might think i have no religious training. I do not. I have learned in a way that most has never heard. i have spoke with many drs. of religion and they can not explain what i say either. But they do not deny what I say. faith is things not seen. To learn from Yahweh is that hard for you to believe. How knowledgeable was the Apostles to the world that Yahshua chose? I will leave u all alone I came to try to help but you can not do what many do not want.. Take Care.. blessings of Shalom... Miles/Moshe

Hmmmm.... Zap, are you making assumptions about Kerry-O's faith, based on his opinions about whats appropriate in government? I could be wrong, but it seems that way.

Massagetrade,

No, Zap is a bully, plain and simple. He hates what I espouse and is doing his best to shut me up. For instance, by feminizing my name, he hopes to bait me into an exchange that he can run to the mods with and have me thrown off the service.

He doesn't want discussion, he's only stalking me for opportunities to vent his frustrations upon someone who doesn't fight back. And like the Bush administration in D.C., he believes the rules are for the little people.

I'm not going to engage him in a discussion because I know all he really wants is a knock-down, drag 'em out bar fight which he's certain his estimable self will win handily, thus vanquishing the People Who Are What's Wrong w/ America.

So folks, if you want your forums to operate like this, high-five Zapchaser and vote for All-Flames-All-the-Time.

Massage, no, I was not. Kerry's profile states that he is agnostic. That's not the point. The argument I was trying to make was pertaining to....
Kerry O writes: See, this is why I think governments must be secular. Religion makes too many too sure of their version of The Truth.

The litmus test I see him desiring would be to ask each candidate their religious view and base their viability for office pertaining to their answer. Can't be done. Maybe in China, North Korea, or Russia.

Kerry: How am I feminising your name? Don't play the "help me! help me!" card on me. It is very liberal of you to state your view and not allow others to question it, as you question other's. Had you a sense of humor you would have found a chuckle in my post. drinker Show me ya got some and answer the question. I promise not to spank you. blushing bigsmile

Miles,

I don't see that anyone has given you any facts, yet. While it may be true that religion and science don't mix, I don't think you are trying to mix the two.

I've prayed for help in finding some things that are missing, and within seconds my prayers are answered, when non-believers have already spent considerable time looking.

I don't know why i haven't been completely healed either, but time will tell that.

>> So i am asking you all and whoever else to join this board with facts.

"Facts". What makes a fact a 'fact'? Its amazing the things which have been considered "facts" over the years.

---------------------------------------------------

it is a fact that o j stood trial and was not guity

yet the fact of that did not change the civil settlement

---

it is a fact that many millions of children are told
there is an easter bunny, tooth fairy and other
childhood characters

does that mean that they are less real because most adults do not see them

----

it is a fact that armstrong walked on the moon

i was not there to see it
you were not there to see it

does that make it less of a fact

------

it is a fact that millions died in the holocaust

i did not see it iwas not there

that does not make it less of a fact

------

it is a fact that Lincoln was shot in ford theater

i was not there you were not there

does that make it less of a fact

---------

it is a fact that we are living in this bioshpere
we call earth

i was not here when t was formed
it formed just the same

facts are facts

---------

there is a book written with what many believe to be
historical facts about a divine individual that came
and died to save the human race

i was not there you were not there

does that make it less of a fact

you can take any of the above and find an argument against it
somewhere

but it is all data just the same

facts are data

and data are facts to be manipulated

you can get any out come you wish

depending on the manipulation

so what is a fact

it is a manipulation of what happened

or what is believed to have happened

no more no less

---------------------

just a thought

but hey what do i know

Our Government was based on God. Our country was run according to God. Now it is not, mostly. And look what is happening to it. Every single state has God in its preamble. Look it up.

Oh, and by the way...I can give it to you.

Here is my states preamble:

Oklahoma 1907, Preamble . Invoking the guidance of Almighty God, in order to secure and perpetuate the blessings of liberty ... establish this .

A DJ made a post
of natural factual facts
Yet even he suggests that we
cannot confirm these acts

For those who must believe in god
their faith must never wane
for if their faith became façade
their life would be in vain

So place your bets upon your truths
and hold a steady keel
then pray to all the gods of Zeus
that life is not surreal

To believe in God is not to live life in vain. If it is as you believe. That God is not what I believe, then I will still have found a peace within myself for having believed.

To even fatham praying to a god of Zeus or any other is beyond me.
