Oh goodness, still making my way home from the Carnival Splendor but wanted to share how much the media and people who want fifteen minutes of fame LIE AND EXAGGERATE things

I heard a report(news station shall remain unnamed,,lol) that we were living in darkeness and eating spam and pop tarts,,,,,,


partial misleading truth there and ANYONE could set up some food to look disgusting and then snap a photo

Carnival took EXCELLENT care of us under the circumstances, there was fruit, milk, sandwiches, and some creative desserts, there was PLENTY of food and the crew had to carry it manually up nine decks of stairs three to five times a day. The only places without any lights were the cabins but all hallways and public areas were well lit. We were also extraordinarily safe(probably more so than when I am at home in vegas..lol) with the coast guard from both mexico and the US , the aircraft carrier Raegan, fighter jets, AND submarines guiding us back home. It was an experience but I was mostly amazed at the way I was hearing the story be told on the mainstream. I guess it just goes to show how spoiled we are when being 'stranded' on a cruise ship can be considered world news...lol

Thank you for clearing that up.I myself go on cruises every year, and the news did scare the heck out of me.

yes, they are giving us a full refund, paying our parking and traveling expense to and from the cruise, they are wiping away any costs we may have incurred while shopping on the ship (free merchandise) AND we are getting a free future cruise. On top of that , they put us up in pretty nice hotels in San Diego for 1-3 nights (our choise) with all meals included.

Wow! I'm glad you and everyone else were taken care of. I heard a brief report about in on the Conan show. (Of course comedians do their little thing.) But I didn't get to read a report about the story. I'm surprised the media did what they did. I hope someone put them straight to the public. Welcome back!

Make sure your next cruise is somewhere tropical and exotic....like New Jersey or Alcatraz!

did you get to witness that person getting arrested afterwards?did the cops let you tazer him/her?

didnt see any arrests, but we were on the first floor so we were off pretty quick once the ship docked in san diego,,,,

dang,i wanted to see the news clip of you tackling the person and than tazer the **** out of them.guess i'll have to wait til your next cruise
