The Republicans controlled both houses of Congress (except for the first 2 years of Bush's term) from 1994 to 2008. The President can propose policy all he wants but in the end it is Congress that makes the laws and Congress that controls the purse strings.

No matter how much the Republicans want to pretend otherwise, they were the party that predominantly held the power in Congress during the "deregulation" years that led up to this recession, both during the Clinton and Bush presidencies. And now this same party wants to somehow fix the problem by continuing to do the same things that caused the problem in the first place?

Although Clinton did well with his time in presidency on economic matters he did set up one of the problems that helped to cause the down turn. So as is usual for all humans he was good but made mistakes.

You are right.

The people who bought into the false fearmongering have voted back in the devil.

I see. So anyone that doesn't agree with your political decisions is the devil. Interesting. So what makes you the expert? Please enlighten us all.

Actually the Republican's lost control of both House's in 2006, not 2008.

I have one thing to say...Obama openly admitted that he screwed up. The U.S debt is higher now then it has been with ANY other president. He has spent his time with legislation..NOT JOB CREATION! He completely admitted that he hasn't been a good leader. I saw the interview. Obama has not done what was needed. He has lost all that support for a reason. Do you honestly think that he lost support because he is doing a good job?? I understand some of your opinions but I base my opinion on factual information. Obama is on his way out. He has caused more debt, he has not created jobs, and he has not come up with a ecinomical recovery plan that could be called half intellegent. I'd take bush or clinton over Obama any day.
