Topic: Ludacris or Eminem? | |

I think that it depends on what they are rapping about... They both can go off when they want too and then again they both suck at times |

I dont think any certain type/genre of music sucks. I just think there are individuals and/or bands out there that produce music for the sole purpose of becoming famous and making money. A lot of artists today cant even really sing, they just have that look that society likes so their voice gets auto-tuned and thier music gets force fed through public radio. I think you prolly mean commercial radio - for profit -rather than public radio as in "not for profit"- but otherwise, I agree |

He's all yours sweetest. The whole "I hate the world because my childhood was destroyed" is way over played. well I didn't think you'd care if he's a hottie or not. "Am I buggin' you? didn't mean to ...bug you" (as in offend) (Bono from U2 talking about racism) Social issues are sometimes pretty raw. A certain amount of the drama hype - is just that. But I think there are some important things he's saying. He is showing young people that their f'dup child hood is no excuse as he himself is very successful. He raps about racsim sexual abuse and abused emotions, friendships gone wrong, obsession, suicide, death, drugs, teenage sexuality, and these aren't pretty subjects - so ya Captain if he's buggin' you - good. You must be a man of conscience. He bugs me too because he's making me think about things that are reality in a world that I have only seen from the periphery (and trust me that was enough) It was one of his raps that got me talking to my sons about teen sex, and internet porn and substance abuse. Until I heard him I feel I had been neglectig and hiding from my responsibility to talk to my sons. So it is matter of how one looks at EM, and some people just see the bad in anything that they don't understand. But EM is saying a lot of real good things-telling young people to use birth control, for example, and waking us up to the bleak reality of the lives of teens who don't have moms and dads who teach them & do things wiht them. People we need to hear these things. |

Look at it this way...Em can be put side by side with some of the greatest rappers in history, Tupac, Biggie, you name it he's dropped bars alongside the best. Luda? Well, he can't really. Even DMX is up on Luda with rap.
