and bush's illegal trillion dollar war didn't throw gas on the fire? atleast thousands of people didn't die cause of the bill No but millions lost their homes and jobs because of it, death would be welcome to some I'm sure. Won't even classify that as 'spin'. Homes lost because mortage 'hold' companies were forced to take badly managed 'bundle' packs of overleveraged mortages from F. Mae and F. Mac. As far as people 'dieing' because of the so called Health Care bill... Wait. It will happen. There is NO WAY that government can provide health care for every American. Do the darn math. Each working american would need to support some 10 or more NON-Working americans (or americans working below the poverty level). Even if you pretend to be Robin Hood and rob the rich you CAN NOT PAY FOR ALL OF IT. The Administrative Jobs created in the government just to administer health care would immediately need an increase of roughly 10% in taxes ACROSS THE BOARD for every american... Not to mention the costs to taxpayers of PROVIDING that health care. DO THE MATH. |

Dems didn't do anything underhanded, they didn't have to. So that is Rightwing hogwash. ya, right... the dems are angels, and never do no wrong...just keep reading the post, you'll be more informed. Why would they have to be underhanded, they had control? All the right wing garbage doesn't make it true. And I never said anything political is angelic ![]() When you actually have 'control' it is not necessary to threaten congress persons with 'not being allowed to go home till the vote is taken'... And then hold them till they vote the way you want. That happened. Americans were calling washington in such large numbers to say NO that it became necessary for Congressmen and Senators to call in favors from Corporations and have them 'robo' call congress to tie up the switch boards... FACT. Buying of votes by promise of sweetheart deals... FACT. Shall I go on. This last year Washington D.C has stunk so bad I imagine the Founding Fathers were holding their noses in the grave. My vote was to change that. That will change... it has to... Else we will have a Government by the congress for the congress and of the President... that is not MY United States of America. |
