CAIRO — A U.S.-born radical Yemeni cleric linked to previous attacks on the U.S. called for Muslims around world to kill Americans in a new video message posted on radical websites Monday.

Anwar al-Awlaki said since all Americans are the enemy, clerics don't need to issue any special fatwas or religious rulings allowing them to be killed.

"Don't consult with anybody in killing the Americans, fighting the devil doesn't require consultation or prayers seeking divine guidance. They are the party of the devils," he said. "We are two opposites who will never come together."

In the 23-minute Arabic language message entitled "Make it known and clear to mankind," al-Awlaki said that for Americans and Muslims it was "either us or them."

Born in New Mexico, al-Awlaki has used his website and English-language sermons to encourage Muslims around the world to kill U.S. troops in Iraq and has been tied by U.S. intelligence to the 9/11 hijackers, underwear bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, as well as Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the Army psychiatrist accused of killing 13 people in November at Fort Hood, Texas.

U.S. investigators say since he returned to Yemen in 2006, al-Awlaki has moved beyond just inspiring militants to becoming an active operative in al-Qaida's affiliate there.

President Barack Obama said on Tuesday that Washington's effort to reach out to the Muslim world was earnest and would help improve U.S. security.

Separately on Monday, the Yemeni foreign minister said other foreign nations should help country to build up their security forces and provide training and equipment. He said that the United States provides intelligence to Yemen but Yemeni forces conduct operations.

AQAP claims cargo bombs

On Friday, the Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula claimed responsibility for sending bombs through the mail in packages addressed to the U.S. which was thwarted a week ago.

This is the first full posting of the video, after clips of it were released on Oct. 23, two weeks before the mail bombs were uncovered.

Al-Awlaki also attacked rulers in the Arab world, particularly Yemen, describing them as corrupt and he called on religious scholars to declare them "non-Muslims" for betraying the Muslim people.

"Kings, emirs, and presidents are now not qualified to lead the nation, or even a flock of sheep," he said. "If the leaders are corrupt, the scholars have the responsibility to lead the nation."

He added that these leaders would have to be removed for the Muslim people to move forward.

The only way Muslims were going to protect themselves from the threat of the infidels was by supporting the "mujahedeen," he said, referring to those fighting for al-Qaida.

"If we support the mujahedeen, we will win it all and if we let them down, we will lose it all," he said while wearing traditional Yemeni clothes with a dagger at his belt sitting behind a desk.

You should ask political experts about this,but this question does not really take an expert; the nation and threat was like this,they say,before WW2,and everyone knew that war was coming. So,I'd say,there is a really good chance we will have all-bust-out WW3, yes,sorry to say. I do not see a way to avoid it,sooner or later. Of course, no one can say exactly when.And,we're in great danger of a Major 2nd Depression,even in the whole world,too. The dollar would be as useless as real paper.Lots of us would starve to death,or get close to it.

International experts have said,that China,India,Russia,the US,and the Middle East,all require great amts. of oil.ALL THE SAME OIL. Got it?? All these big powers, all want the same oil,and only one can probably get it; so,they expect a major bust out war,over the oil.China has huge,modern armies,tons of them,and modern equipment.We are stuck in the Middleeast,just wasting our energy and money.Yeah, experts are very nervous about this,probably worse than the earlier decades' atom bomb scares. Cause,everyone had enough resources then.The main reasons for war are always;(1.)Land.(2.)Major resources. (3.)Power.

Christian and Israeli,and jewish groups,all together,are very worried about the threat to Israel,from Iran,and the Arabic middleeast.And I know involved Christians who are very worried about the US catching it.Yes,we're getting "incidents",in the US,caused by terrorists,or homegrown nuts,and we cannot ignore them forever.I was in one,a couple years ago,in San Francisco,a city-wide terrorist-threat,was in all the movie theatres,and the police were all over the city.When i got home,i saw that it was NOT IN ANY NEWS AT ALL. NONE. They censored it all.Only the people who were in it,knew about it.Nothing exploded,that I saw,or knew about.But,I only saw part of it,from inside a theatre.We were evacuated by police,and had to leave the city.No,no news ever reported it.NO.

The United States itself is no longer safe from major attack;everywhere i go,everyone here is so nervous,afraid,waiting for something majorly bad to happen.Waiting for us to get invaded.They openly wonder,"WHY does China just not come in,and take us over?We're completely owned by them now."Iran and the Middleeast are very threatening to Europe,their people all live there,muslims,and even have taken over some countries in Europe completely.Belgium,for example.That's why the Muslim riots in Paris;they are flexing their muscles,there.Yes,Muslims are some of the most primative,agressive,and war-loving peoples there are.If they were not fighting with us,and Israel,experts say,they would be all warring with each other's arabic countries. For them,war and conflict are very common. (Hey,for us,too,but not in our own country.That could change.)

Them,we have a very threatening border,on mexico,as that country continues to break down,from warring drug cartels taking it over,and destroying their real govt. completely.Worse and worse deaths,murders,terror,are happening there.Americans are no longer safe there.Not even the ones who live there.And,increasingly,the drug cartels are coming over here,more and more,further and further inland,even up to the Pacific northwest.Our only chance is to level the army itself against the border,sooner or later,to avoid getting physically invaded.And,where's our army?AT stupid,idiot wars,that never see an end!!WHERE IS OUR army,marines,going to be,when we get invaded?Never mind foriegn wars,we're going to have one of our own,with no defense!!

Sooner or later,my friend,yes,we're going to have some kind of WW3.I am afraid.I'm only lying to myself,if I pretended it's never going to happen,in some way.I'm older,I could not survive it.Which is why I don;t want it to happen too soon.Don't trust me,ask some older experts,who have a good head on their shoulders,know history,and are objective and smart.Even relatives or friends.You should know the truth,you might have to confront it some day.

the Muslims have been at war for the past 2000 years... its only now that anyone gives a rats a$$ because their methods of deployment have grown more sofisticated (they learned to fly planes) and do more damage to people outside the confines of their own political borders....

the problems between middle east and the west started after WWII when the arrogant west toppled the Ottoman empire and created the countries that exist today in the middle east..all for the benefit of western interest...

Once again, it is timme for us to send some forces into Yemen to help them get rid of this a$$wipe and the rest of AQAP once and for all. Yemen has asked us for the help and it's time to give it to them. We know where in Yemen this guy is as well as the rest of AQAP and we know of the two tribes protecting them and where they are.

It would be a simple operation.

Muslims hate everyone. They hate people who arn't Muslims, they hate people who arn't believers in their form of Islam and they want the non-believers to all die. They are nothing but animals.

You do realize that this 2000 years of warfare predates the U.S.
by about 1800 years?!?!



Of course one is always concerned when some radical religious nuts
decide to bomb your subways, buildings, cities, buses, cafes etc.
But it is hardly of our own making. The responsibility is the
religious nut's all their own. They make the bombs and rockets and
they launch them at civilians and they get the glory and the blame.
No one "makes" them murder innocent civilians.

Mr. Awlaki is not a jerk. He is a misguided self-proclaimed Imam. Surely by now any true Muslim has noticed that by the grace of god none of his plotting has done more than irritate people.

Would seem to me that his biggest problems will come when the rest of the Muslim world decides to rid Islam of his vain imaginings and stomp him flat.

My prediction is that he will be betrayed from within his own
organization by a plant run through an islamic intelligence
agency and this is how Al-Awlaki will be retired. The same might
well happen with more senior principals of Al-Qaeda...

It think the chances are pretty good the local government will find him and take him out as a show of good will.

Don't expect any help out of Obama, they're probably good pals.

I don't think so. Remember what happened to all the people behind the USS Cole attack? The all broke out of a Yemini jail with the help of the police.

We need to kill this jerk since Obama doesn't have the balls to properly interrogate him.

I agree but the Yemeni need to do "something" and this idiot would make a good target. Finding them is always a problem for us but not for the locals. The Yemeni could kill him and just see it as killing another American. He doesn't provide a source of income that I know of and the Yemeni would get a lot of mileage by offing him for us ... maybe even a lot of US dollars.

And, that would include Fairycans Nation of Islam Muslims.
