Where did everyone go?
It seems to be a little dead tonight.

How was everyone's weekend?

Mine was good, got some cleaning done, very productive, makes me feel good, however the weekend went by to fast

not the greatest weekend,,,,,,fixing to dump some excess baggage

I had a fabulous weekend...

it was bleh.
i got to read.
a lot.

I built a frame for my dad's new deck. Couple more weekends and it will be complete.

Just beautiful. My mom is in the hospital with copd, congestive
heart failure complications, and a few other problems. Also found
out my current "honey" is a liar and cheater.

On the good side...my mom is, for the moment anyway, a little
better, and "honey" has bitten the dust...and I hope he chokes
on it.


Other than that, just cleaning, errands, and took the kids to
see Paranormal Activity 2. Before anybody yells at me for
letting kids see something like that-they are 16 and 18.

No one should yell at you for taking your kids to the movies.. It's not their business.. My mom took me to see horror movies when I was 7 or 8 and we watched them on tv on the weekends.. I love horror movies... People need to mind their own business...

this is actaully my weekend - work schedule is a little different - and I am enjoying spending it chilling w/ my minglers!!

getting some housework & laundry done too

and hair - manicure - badly needed. experimenting wiht different kinds of curlers. Got an AWESOME "do" today. (now if I can just remember how??? )

I agree with The Prncs here about the movies thing. Hell, my folks took me to see Bachelor Party back in 1984, and that was all sex, drugs and language. I turned out ok.

Nobody said anything and frankly if they did I would
tell them which butt cheek they could kiss first, but
I figured someone here would see that and might freak
out. So I clarified that even though I said "kids" they
technically aren't. If the movie isn't too bad
and the child has the maturity as well as age to handle
horror movies and such, why not? As long as they understand
that it's all fake, and even like I did, explain how certain
things are done, such as stunts, makeup, etc., they tend to
not freak out or be scared as much. jmo

I agree Indigo.. I use the same rule for video games, tv shows like South Park, etc. My kids can watch it but if they are disrespectful, act the stuff out, etc. it's gone...

my weekend was good. went to san antonio, went to morton's steak house. delicious. walked down the riverwalk and went to random bars in the area with my sister who leaves for the navy tuesday. sad that it was our last time to hang out for a while, but i think it'll be a good thing for her. and my daughter comes back home next weekend. yay.

Exactly no different then the arguement about Jersey Shore.

My weekend got screwed up a little. Wanted to get down to southern Kentucky. Ended up shooting pool at the crib.........

I didn't hear that argument.. My son watches it.. I don't care for it but sometimes I'll watch it with him..

I do my own as often as not- just after a bath is a good time
and when I have a run on typing errors you can count on it that my nails are drying
