Thursday, November 4, 2010. Two days after the mid-term elections, and I've already seen my first news article on the 2012 elections. Is it just me, or is it a little two early for me to decide, with any real knowledge, whether I want to keep the people that just got elected (but haven't even had a day in office)? only if you want to actually use your BRAIN ,,,,otherwise going with the flow required you to want OBama and the dems out before his first year was even completed,,,, haha.... I would argue that a vote for Obama was just going with the flow and lacked any form of critical thinking. Hope and Change .... hahaha logic behind wanting OBama out in 2009: the economy wasnt fixed yet, the deficit grew logic behind wanting OBama to be the President: McCain may not make a full term and PALIN would have her hand on the button and represent America to the WORLD.... McCains biggest claim to fame being a POW who still referred to some as 'gooks' as a result(war president, potential bigot) OBamas answers and ideas during debate OBamas intelligence OBamas diplomacy I think my logic and millions of others,, was pretty sound I notice you left out Obamas experience or executive credentials.. I shouldn't be surprised.. He had none to speak of.. I suppose that didn't factor in because he gave a good speech and made grandiose promises.. How unique for a politican.. But I guess I am wrong because he is doing such a fine job it's only the ignorant and racists that don't support his brilliant agenda.. thats putting alot of words in other peoples posts,,lol anyhow, I actually didnt refer to 'experience' because in thinking critically I realize that the government(President included) must deal with a number of topics from the economy, to education, to justice, to the deficit, healthcare,,, there are literally enough different areas to cover that just about any experience can TRANSLATE into a positive in political office and so many different areas that no candidate will have experience in them all he had political experience, he had experience bringing people together, he had experience WORKING hard and using his brain that experience was just as promising to me as McCains political experience and POW status,,, I have said before, it is more about the ideas and demeanor of the CANDIDATE themself(debates) that seal my decisions I don't care about political experience. That is not what I am talking about. Your original comment in which I replied to, implied that people wanted Obama out of office after a year because they were going with the flow and not using their brain. Maybe they didn't see Obama as you saw him and had real concerns that he may not be up to the task. Maybe they were using their brain and realized that his policies were more intended towards saving his union and banker friends than helping everyone. And as far as adding words to posts, I think if I looked at other threads I could certainly find ample evidence of comments similar to the ones I've added.. haha all in good fun... haha what could anyone have seen in the first 356 days that would cause them to want him out(given a presidential TERM is four years , the MINIMUM time most others are given to accomplish their campaign goals) and knowing that until OCTOBER of 2009 we were still operating under the budget of the PREVIOUS administration? I expect the Chargers to win the Super Bowl every year and I wanted Norv Turner fired after his first game as head coach.. I pretty much want him fired after every game even if they win by 30 points. I know they will never win the Super Bowl with him as head coach. Some people might be satisfied with winning 13 games like last season, but losing to the Jets in the first playoff game is unacceptable. The moral of this story is that people can make correct judgments about people whether it be a single game or a year in office.. I was right so far about Norv Turner and I am very confident that I will be right about Obama. The difference is that Norv is a football coach and Obama is the president of the united states.. |

When you look beyond the politics and what they say when they want your vote, you can get a good feel for who is going to be successful and who isn't. |

My pick for the next president would be Colin Powell. I doubt if he would run. Colin Powell wouldnt put his family through the scrutiny he knows he would face,,, he is a bit older and already 'served' his country enough yes he has...too bad he won't run tho... next president i vote for will some military background I can respect that thats a priority for you :) I still will be looking for intelligence and diplomacy in a President and it wont hurt if they have had to struggle somewhat in life and have raised healthy , respectful, productive children ?? then why did you vote for obama? the guy is as dumb as bush... almost |

I laughed when I read this part.. Sounds familiar.. It is apparent that Obama didn't seem to have understood the problems of the average American. He came across as a young man in a grown-up's game—impressive but not presidential. A politician but not a leader, managing American policy at home and American power abroad with disturbing amateurishness. Indeed, there was a growing perception of the inability to run the machinery of government and to find the right people to manage it. A man who was once seen as a talented and even charismatic rhetorician is now seen as lacking real experience or even the ability to stop America's decline. "Yes we can," he once said, but now America asks, "Can he?" The last two years have exposed to the public the risk that came with voting an inexperienced politician into office at a time when there was a crisis in America's economy, as the nation contended with a financial freeze, a painful recession, and two wars. http://politics.usnews.com/opinion/mzuckerman/articles/2010/11/05/mort-zuckerman-americas-love-affair-with-obama-is-over.html |

'The Clintons were reviled by conservatives for many of the same reasons Obama now is. In fact, the attacks they endured during Bill Clinton’s presidency are startlingly similar—in source, psychology, and tone—to the ones Obama now faces. Bill Clinton, too, committed the sin of being a Democrat identified with “un-American” elements (Vietnam protesters, draft dodgers and pot smokers in the ’60s, and Hollywood celebrities in the ’90s) and—worse—of knowing how to win elections. ....... Pat Buchanan, who called Hillary a threat to “God’s country” in 1992, suddenly embraced her as a blue-collar heroine. The National Review’s Rich Lowry, who’d branded Hillary “a practitioner of the odious political style of the enlightened Baby Boomer” in the ’90s, praised her as “a serious person, afflicted, as she put it once, with ‘a responsibility gene.’” Richard Mellon Scaife, who’d bankrolled much of the Clinton takedown effort in the ’90s, forgave Bill Clinton’s philandering, pronounced him a charismatic leader, and his newspaper endorsed Hillary in the Pennsylvania primary. So maybe Obama should take heart. A decade or two from now, when a new Democrat emerges with a real chance to win the White House, the same people who are now calling him a Kenyan terrorist plant will probably look back on his presidency as the good old days." how fickle media and their public are,,,,sigh |

Zuckerman is a champion of liberal causes. Obama has 2 years to sort out his problems. He needs to start by appointing better economic advisers and rethink the Keynesian style of his economic policy. otherwise, history will not be kind. |
