Making cabbage rolls in a crock pot for tonights dinner. Just with a twist on them. Ground beef with peppers and hot sausage and Mexican rice.

My sister-in-law used to make them really good. She would make them the usual way but she would also add half a can of saurerkraut to to the bottom and the half half to cover the top.Really was tasty. |

I added the sliced cabbage pieces to the bottom of the cabbage rolls. Just to insulate them somewhat. Made a pepper red sauce, instead of tomato sauce. It smells good right now. Just ate a hour ago but now feeling hungry smelling the cabbage rolls cooking.

Now I am getting a craving for cabbage rolls.

Just got asked by my neighbor what I was cooking. I told him I will have some left overs. He said that his mother would prepare them every other Sunday. He said he will bring over the beers. Sounds like fun. Been kind of lonely as of late.
