Topic: Sexist? Vote Democrat. | |

christine o'donnell is nothing but a dr.laura schlessinger trapped in a politicians body So because you don't like her politics, she should be demeaned and dismissed? Let me step in here...this woman is an idiot! That's not "sexist" to say either. It's that she IS an idiot. She has no knowledge of the Constitution: "Republican Senate Candidate Christine O'Donnell today challenged her Democratic opponent Chris Coons on his statement that the Constitution disallowed the integration of religion into the federal government, asking, "Where in the Constitution is the separation of church and state?" The exchange, which prompted laughs from the studio audience, came during a debate this morning at Delaware's Widener School of Law, which was aired by WDEL radio. In a discussion over the whether or not public schools should be allowed to integrate religion-based ideas into science curricula, O'Donnell argued that local school districts should have the choice to teach intelligent design if they choose. When asked point blank by Coons if she believed in evolution, however, O'Donnell reiterated that her personal beliefs were not germane. "What I think about the theory of evolution is irrelevant," she emphasized, adding later that the school of thought was "not a fact but a theory." She obviously has no concept of scientific "theory"...lol. And if yall watch the video for when the crowd laughs at her you'd see that SHE thinks she got the upper hand..and even later admitted that she and her staff though her ignorance of the Constitution was a win. This woman is an idiot! http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20020015-503544.html |

AS odd as I think she is,,she is technically correct
nowhere in the constitution does it say 'seperation of church and state' and the first amendment only states that 'Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.' applying to CONGRESSIONAL laws,,, |

Christine O'Donnell, like most of the other tea party candidates represent a refreshing change to politics as usual. She has been demonized and insulted by the mainstream because she, like other tea party candidates are a threat to career politicians.
In my view, the mere fact that a candidate is NOT a career politician puts them head and shoulders above the rest. Our founders never intended for public office to be a career. It was supposed to be a service and a sacrifice to our country made for a short time, after which the person would resume their own profession or call in life. Career politicians should ALL be ousted! |

She's said/done nothing that would make me think she'd be a good candidate. Perhaps you can shed some light on why she's so refreshing. |

Watch the linked video in my post, she was easily the winner of that debate. Edit: And she focused on the issue, while Coons couldn't stop talking about his opponent's past and claiming that she was incoherent or lying, while he was the only one caught in a lie. |

"O'Donnell argued that local school districts should have the choice to teach intelligent design if they choose. " ID? Really? The woman is an idiot. She's talking about the 10th Amendment, which does grant the state and local governments that right. The Federal government usurped the right to choose what schools teach when they created the Department of Education. If you disagree with her, you disagree with the law. That's fine, we are a nation of laws and not all laws please all people. What you should do is start a movement to change the law (add an Amendment) that will allow the Government to dictate what is taught in schools. They already do that, but that's non-constitutional and if we had a Supreme Court of strict Constitutionalists, they would change that ruling. |

Coonst is clearly a career politician with his head up the arse of the current administrations liberal agenda, bent on bringing this country to a socialist state. |

I asked you what made her refreshing, not why you didn't like him. The way you answered says a lot, as you couldn't give a reason why she was actually refreshing other than you want him out. |

She like the other tea party candidates is refreshing because she is standing up for the constitution and actually pointing out that our political leaders have taken an oath to protect and uphold it on our behalf. Any more questions? |

Coons is definitely an as s.....he always uses negative campaigns against opponents instead of propelling himself......trust there isn't much for him to propel...and lies in campaigns in past....so don't trust him at all.....yes I live in Delaware |

Nothing unusual about Delawareans sticking their foot in their mouths.....the states not that big and the people not used to national attention until as shole Biden made VP |
