I agree with you to a point. Free will is everything to a man/woman. Without it - we are only left with instinct. But as to God's provisions - he already knows what and how we will choose - as he is not limited by time. He exists outside of it, so it wouldn't make sense to think that he provides options - and waits to see how we choose. What is often most unclear about God's place in our freewill - is how He handles the consequences of our choices. For it is not clear that he immediately rewards us for the good choices we make, nor do we suffer immediate consequences from the bad ones. Yet - sometimes the "reaping" is immediate to the actions we sow. But to a certain extent - everything is - as you say "predetermined", at least to God, because all of man's existance on the planet has already been played out before him. And does anything happen outside of the will of God?
