My Dad and the things he taught me

I am inspired by those to whom I am "Daddy". To borrow a line from the movie "As Good As It Gets", they make me want to be a better man.

Different people are inspirations for me in different parts of my life.

Like with my triathlons and stuff like that, my inspiration came from a father/son team called Team Hoyt that I saw on Oprah a looooooooong time ago. I saw that they were doing triathlons and marathons and I said if they can do it then I can do it. I believe their website is www.teamhoyt.com.

As for another part of my life, I hope this doesn't sound conceded, but I am the inspiration. I sat down one day and I was so stinkin' tired of always being depressed and stuff like that and I decided that I can change that. Ever since then, I've made a conscious effort every day to have a good day. Granted, I still have some bad days, but for the most part, I try and be positive.
