I have some friends who are girls, and so far they seem to be staying that way. so i think it's possible. i mean there have been times my mind was wandering and i found myself staring at her curves.
i'm a guy, and i can't help but notice things like that sometimes. if she wanted to be closer with me than just friends, i probably would do it. but things being the way they are, those girls are just friends and thats awesome too, because they are wonderful people. besides, i'd probably **** it all up if i dated one of them and then i'd be minus a girlfriend and a best friend. **** that. |

well in my experience, the answer is no. I'd like guy friends,but found that non of them were ever willing to be strictly friends. Strictly friends with the opposite sex I believe is rare. The only guy friends I have are my friends boyfriends.

For your information, one of my best friends is a woman for longer than all my other relationships with women combined. Yes guys can be friends with girls even when they really like them.
My two best friends of twenty years are males and both of them at different times wanted to date me. Both times it was hard for everyone involved but we communicated and respected and we are still best friends. |

Well I think as basic social group friends yes But as go out to movies, hanging out alone the two of you together, that kind of friends no. It almost always gets tested to go further & if that fails, you both end up feeling kinda weird & if it actually does go further, it just ruins the friendship so I vote NO. in a perfect world it would be nice, until then just hang out with your friendly neighbor hood drag queen, but be sure to hide your lashes & lipgloss girlfriend!!

I think men and women can be just friends, as long as the friendship is on an equal footing. But if one of the friends loves the other, then it gets complicated.
I'm dealing with this situation myself at the moment. I have a long-term male friend, but I've just recently started dating someone. My friend is hurt because he was hoping our friendship would develop into something more, and I'm feeling guilty that by dating someone else I'm hurting my friend. I'm hoping that it will get easier with time. |

Hey Guys......if you liked a girl alot and she doesn't feel the same but really values your friendship....could you be her friend? It would depend on the friend. I have a married friend like that. I have had lesbian friends like that. I had two marriages like that. Are we talking present tense of past tense here?

well there missy, when a guy really likes a girl, but she just wants to be friends, it just ain't gonna happen. guys don't take kindly to being set aside while she window shops. in this here situation i think guys would either be persistant to the point of obsession or get pissed off and cut her out entirely. i could be wrong...

My best friend is a guy and he did actually come on to me once. We talked it over and decided that we were better off as friends. For months after we both remained single and continued to hang out alone together with not ill effects, in fact, we even laugh about it now.
Today we both have significant others, and we still spend time alone together, it doesn't seem to bother either one of them (and yes, all four of us get along with each other). So it can work, it just requires honesty and communication from the beginning. |
