nope, only furmans idiocy can be blamed on furman He was the ONLY reason Simpson wasn't convicted. Then he wen't after the Kennedy's and WON on the murder of Martha Moxley, which redeemed himself. I honestly don't believe the guy is racist, people say stupid things sometimes. You would not believe the situations these cops have to have to deal with and they vent too. it wasnt just his testimony, it was the shoddy reputation of the LAPD in general and the distrust by the community of the tactics LAPD used,,, No it was Furman and racism that cost the Prosecution the trial, PERIOD. the racism that runs for many FROM the police and allows them to be able to see and believe very easily that police will be dishonest to get their man,,, If the guy is guilty like OJ was then you have to do whatever it takes. and thats exactly what cost them the case,,,,, No, Furman's racial slurs cost them the case. The LAPD has had a piss poor relationship with LA residents, particularly black LA residents for a long time. You have a well known and well received black man who comes under fire from LAPD and accused of murdering a white woman. With Furman's mouth, LAPD's rep with the public and the fact it was just some ***** murdered (presumably by O J Simpson) along with a predominately black jury is why he got off. now enough about Furman, GET BACK ON TOPIC PLEASE! |

The media has the "We got the story first" bug REEEAL bad! I never understood an agency that wanted to be taken seriously and as reputable to run with a story without first getting the facts and verifying them. |
