To call the Philippines from the US, you have to dial the following:

* 011 <- US exit code ( this must be dialed first for all international calls made from the USA )
* 63 <- country code for the Philippines
* area code ( consisting of 1 - 2 digit area codes)
* phone number ( consisting of 7 digits )

If you're trying to call a mobile phone number, then dial 011 plus 63 plus the mobile number.





Actually, this format only works if you're in Asia, as far as I know, because that's what I do. But if you're from the US or Canada, you have to use 011 as your exit code.

the number after the + is different with different parts of the Phillipines though.i've called the Phillipines before (til i got a message from my cell phone company begging me to stop) and i've had to dial +1,+08,and i think +12

You must be pertaining to the area codes. Depending on the place in the Philippines, each has a different one, usually consisting of 2 numbers, like what I said on my first post. For example, Manila's area code is 2 and Davao's area code is 82.
