The War of Yankee Aggression, waged against helpless Southern states who only wanted limited government, states rights, and a nice sip of sweet tea. It wasn’t about slavery, and in fact, so-called slaves were better treated than most white males are – a trend that continues today. Slavery was possibly a little racist, in retrospect. But slavery ended with the Civil War, and so did racism.

Actually the civil war was started over states rights, the south was about to win the war and the North was out of finances to further support the war effort.......There were many free black men and women in the North that banded together and received financial support and donations from supporters of ending salvery. The finances supplied to the North turned the events of the war and that is how disbanding slavery became a part of the civil war.......not that I disagree with ending slavery ya know.......I dont believe anyone should own another ever........and no it did not end racism as racism remains alive and well today........although it is humurous as to the intelligence of the tea partiers......

You really don't know your history, the Tea Party is one of the things that helped form this nation years ago, and that is what this new momement is trying to do as well.
