He's possibly choosing Hillary because she is politically stronger than Biden is.

Biden has been an embarrassment to the Oblowme Admin. on several occasions. He's a drunk, he opens his mouth and spews out lame comments at the most critical moments!!

Oblowme is trying to save his presidency, and he's hoping that Hillary will carry enough clout to do just that.

But with all the blatant lies and backstabbing of the people and the disregarding of our Constitution that Oblowme has done, its too little, too late.

The steam roller is coming, and its gonna squish him flat!!

He also lets information out freely, information that is classified at the top level of classification. Information our enemies pay top dollar for, and he just blurts it out freely and openly.

Not to mention his foul mouth that has gotten him in trouble time and time again. I am embarassed he represents my country and make us look like a bunch of foul mouthed alcoholic idiots.

thank you thank I'll be here all week

polls are a snapshot of one moment in time,,,,in two years plenty can happen and change, just like things dropped from 2009, they can pick up between 2010 and 2012

Yup twp years can do a lot, I believe his approval rating will be in the 20's by the time of the next election. The polling will continue to get worse and worse. Hell no President has polled this low so soon into their Presidency other then Jimmy Carter and Lyndon Johnson,, and we all know what happened to both of them.

Democratic candidates are already distancing themselves from Obama, Reid and Pelosi even going as far as asking Pelosi to step down. I have a feeling Democrats will be asking Obama to not seek re-election because it will be the only chance they have at a Democrat coming close to the White House again(which I think they have already destroyed their chances for a very long time).

I think Obama and Clinton would be a good ticket because of her prior experience and his current experience

we will see whom he runs with though,, as I said, its barely half way through his term yet,,,

good thing we all have a vote,,,

his 'chances' depend upon the sources and numbers one chooses to highlight,,,for instance

And when you compare Obama's average 50 percent approval to other presidents faced with recession and high unemployment, he comes out looking pretty good:

In 1992, George H.W. Bush, running for re-election with a lousy economy pulling him down, hit his approval-rating low of 29 percent in July. The unemployment rate at that time was 7.7 percent, much better than Obama's.
Ronald Reagan, faced with a 1982 unemployment rate as high as 10.8 percent, watched his approval go into free-fall, bottoming at 35 percent in January 1983.
Jimmy Carter ran for re-election in 1980 with the unemployment rate above 9 percent and his job approval in the low 30s.
Similarly, in 1975, unemployment hit a high of 9 percent under Gerald Ford. His approval rating was 40 percent.
Bush, Carter and Ford did not get elected the next time they faced voters; Reagan survived when the economy recovered in time for the 1984 vote.

So what do Obama's relatively good job-approval numbers mean? They mean he is not yet in serious political trouble. Historically, presidents who maintain job approvals around 50 percent usually get re-elected.

George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Reagan and Richard Nixon all won second terms with job approvals at 50 percent and above. Falling into the mid-40s or lower signals danger. Obama is not there yet, and won't get there unless his fellow Democrats start abandoning him. For now, they show no sign of heading for the door, as health care shows.

Overall, 82 percent of Democrats approve of the job Obama is doing. It is independents, 44 percent approval, and Republicans, 14 percent approval, who are pulling him down. He has little chance to improve his Republican support, but independents, the swing voters, are still out there to be won.

By more than 2-to-1, voters would prefer to have Sec. of State Hillary Clinton (55 percent) as vice president over the man who currently holds that position, Vice President Joe Biden (25 percent), according to a Fox News/Opinion Dynamics Poll, but White House officials deny that an Obama/Clinton ticket is in the works.

Which team would you support more?

Obama/Biden 3.39% (886 votes)

Obama/Clinton 8.34% (2,180 votes)

Obama/To Be Determined 1.24% (324 votes)

None of the above 85.26% (22,279 votes)

Other (post a comment) 1.77% (463 votes)

Total Votes: 26,132

Well the Obama supporters here were claiming that the polls that have been cunducted of 1000 people isn't much, how about over 26,000?

Over 22,000 against Obama, who woulda thought! laugh

Sounds like the only polled an unfair portion of 26000 people of the US and if this was a website/tv poll and millions of people faithfully watch then why is the poll of only 26000. I do not believe polls to actually be an accurate of prediction, but an avenue to turn opinion to the poll results of a few to bollster what they wish to push. To me polls are like drug pushers.......they peddle and push and the people buy........JMO

The only reason President Obama would run H. Clinton as VP would be to eliminate her as competition for Pres in 2012.

If she ran he would not have a chance.

Ummm that's why he picked her for SOS, puts her out of the way and she wouldn't have time to campaign.

Anyone would be Obama in the next election. Hell Jimmy Carter could run again and win.

also, has there EVER been a time when a presidential appointee has then challenged that president in their reelection bid?

it would seem strange politics, I think, for the secretary of state to be able to run against the president which resided over him or her or was appointed by for obvious reasons of association
