i will b visiting scotland for 2 weeks and london for 1 week n march 2011 ... anyone got any suggestions on wat to see?:)

There's so much to do and see...depends on what your interests are...you'll definitely will want to go back since it's so nice there! Have loads of fun!

I want to do 2 weeks in Scotland and 2 in the Isle of Man one day.

What area of Scotland are you going to be in? I have friends in Kirkcaldy that I have visited a few times. My question would be, are you into the natural beauty, history or the castles, buildings, cities, etc?

I personally love all the castles and small towns; Some of my fav's are...Glencoe(beautiful, mountains, haunted). Killin (river runs through). Aberfeldy(Distillery, Black watch pub).

Mid sized cities; Stirling(castle). Fort William(Ben Nevis, port, shopping). Kirkcaldy(Firth of Forth, coastal towns)

Cities; Glasgow(shopping, big ornate buildings). Edinburgh(Shopping, Castle)

P.S. down around London. My fav areas were Bourton-on-the-water and Warwick castle.

I can get into a lot more detail if I know what your likes/interests are and if your going to be in areas that I have visited :)

So have you actually figured out what you will be doing in Scotland?

I know when I get over there, my friend will be showing me around as much of it as possible. I really wish to see Rothesay in the Isle of Bute, since that's where my granddad is from, and Colonsay where another family member is from. My aunt has been looking at the family history, so it's been really neat seeing what other clans are in the bloodline.

I'm more for the country thing, and traveling, so I know Culloden, Ben Nevis, Loch Ness is planned. My friend loves the Kilmartin area.

We will probably bop around doing the hostels and keep it as cheap as possible to stretch funds. With the Isle of Man, I can stay with cousins, and bop around the island. Cool stuff to see there, too.

in london we r goin t see big ben and london bridge an some of the castles around there .... o an of course we r goin t c queen victorias place;)
