Topic: PROFILE'S. | |
---|---|
Is everything that you wrote on your profile true or Did you write things to make you look better than you are? What do you look for in a profile? People say that I'm to honest and boring on mine, that I need to pump it up. But isn't honest the best policy? I believe that real people will like me,when they get to know me.

I’ve always been brutally honest. I have offended some people but if I changed my ways for totally strangers – that means I am not true to myself. Why would I worry about offending strangers for the sake of their needs over my own?
Listing my wants and needs in a partner eliminated the riff-raff. If we have enough in common then we will always have enough to talk about. I wanted to know right away whether the person was compatible with me. Details are uber important! I say honesty is the best method. Those that appreciate you will gravitate towards you and those that want candy-coated profiles can click to the next one. |

my profile is boring and generic on purpose. i want people to be able to get to know me as I get to know them. I hate those beefed up profiles where it's a book of info and leaves no room for conversation later. BORING

Is everything that you wrote on your profile true It is. Or it was at the time I wrote it. Or it might be at some point in the future. or Did you write things to make you look better than you are? Well, that's a good idea. I think I'll try that when I update! What do you look for in a profile? Substance, content, less than 15 consecutive cliches, good spelling, punctuation, and grammar, mainly somebody who actually takes the time to write something worth reading. People say that I'm to honest and boring on mine, that I need to pump it up. But isn't honest the best policy? I believe that was discontinued in 1979. I believe that real people will like me,when they get to know me. I find myself wondering more and more how many people really take the time to read profiles now. Mine gets a lot of attention, but the responses seem more or less evenly split between those who enjoyed it and those who feel compelled to threaten my life. You can't please everybody, right? |

I wrote mine in a drunken rage!

I believe mine is straight and to the point. Don't really care what others think of it. I do change it periodically but only as I see changes that need to be made.

Nope, it's all a fassad so I can make to the "Stalkers" topic in GD.
I do like the idea of doing mine over while in a 'drunken rage' though. :) K. |
