Halloween III- To this day, people still wonder what the film really was all about. And why did they decide to go without Michael Myers. Really? The plot wasn't deep- a madman wants to end humankind starting with the children. John Carpenter had no plans of bringing back Myers, which is why he killed him off in the second film. His intentions were to have a different Halloween themed story for each sequel, but because Halloween III did poorly at the box office the producers brought Myers back. As a standalone film I think it's very underrated, sort of a gory Twilight Zone episode. That's honestly one of my favorite horror movies. I remember seeing it as a kid and feeling really unnerved by the whole tone of the movie. It was like The Shining, but not as a good. I guess that's probably how a lot of people felt when The Birds came out. |

did someone mention... The Stuff Delicatessen Glen and Glenda Mars Needs Women Its a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World Dr Strangelove Queen of Outer Space The Computer That Wore Tennis Shoes Oh Brother Where Art Thou? I did mention Delicatessen. If you mention The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes, you need to mention the sequels- Now You See Him, Now You Don't, and The World's Strongest Man. well just about any Disney 60-70s era movies are pretty over the top...lol That's why I love 'em. Should also add Germany's Love Bug rip-offs starting with Ein Käfer auf Extratour(aka Superbug, the Wild One), right down to their own cute VW bug. |
