The Blacks sided with the Jewish People during the civil rights movement. Now after they have had Equal rights for six decades.Some Black People are siding with Muslims that happen to have a darker skin tone. Just so happens that 70% of Jewish people in America are now Multi-Million dollar Whites I don't understand its not about picking sides, just choosing whats right no group of people has a monopoly on that True, but it is wrong to single out a particular group of people...i.e Jews and 'stating' stereotypes. That fact that you agreed with Sanchez makes me wonder if you would have still agreed with him if it was African-Americans that he singled out...because that is what he did...discriminate |

I appreciate the respect and I agree that facts are good. I think there is a bigger picture than laws and policies that many dont see though. Is it true that laws are laws and rules are rules..? yes Is it true that RACE sometimes plays into how those laws or rules are ENFORCED? absolutely, this latter part is the part that many who arent the subjects of profiling and racial/gender discrimination dont understand or believe If I'm understanding you, then I agree with everything you are saying. I do agree that some people will dismiss actual racism as 'playing the race card', and that some of those who do wouldn't do so if they had similar personal experience. What I disagree with is the idea that such personal experience is absolutely necessary in all situations to be able to identify when someone is playing the race card. Thats what I thought you were saying earlier - that if you haven't been a victim of racism, you can't tell when someone is playing the race card. I agree there are ambiguous cases, but sometimes there are unambiguous cases - cases where the person is obviously not being prejudiced against, yet claiming prejudice. There are people out there who know they aren't being prejudiced against, but also know that some whites have so much guilt about racism, and its such a sensitive topic, that they can really stir things up by claiming racism. And they do. I've personally known people who do this to amuse themselves, and others who try to use it to get out of trouble. |
