Picking Season How long will I stand waiting for sweetness to fall from the branches? Poised arms outstretched mouth open in anticipation. Will I stand long? Easier it would be to gather them from beneath the canopy. Shall I save them before the ground breaks their flesh? Sweet succulence will not bruise their taste. Shall I pluck them pulling their stem cradle their goodness in my hands. Rounded smooth perfection awaiting to know my lips. I cannot stand forever and wait. Winter comes. SadieLu |

I find I miss you all, the quiet ways that we are drawn so deeply to that place. In many ways, a respite, just to touch again, that is who you are to my soul...thank you, such sweetness
