Pot Roast. Easy, tried and true, and a little extra cooking time won't screw it up. You can make it on the stove top, in the oven, or in a slow cooker.

Few people don't like it and you don't need to fix much to go with it.

If you really want to impress, fix some garlic mashed potatoes to go with it.

Fix what you know best. Are you a grill master? Grill a nice steak, have a baked potato and a salad. Do you fix a awesome fettuccini alfredo and shrimp? Go with that, and keep it simple. Just no mac n cheese out of the box. Add to your simple fixings the ambiance, candlelight, nice music and your charming personality.

There are lots of good recipes on the mingle "Recipe/Cooking" topic. Just take a few minutes to go back through them and you might find the perfect dish to go with your perfect dish!

Don't make hog head cheese. It takes too long.

If you don't know anything about what she might be allergic to then prepare a meal based on that...

Always start with the shell fish appetizer like toasted clam rolls or crab meat dip or scampi.
The main course could be salmon almondine that way you can test for fish and tree nut allergies at the same time.
If she hasn't had a bad reaction yet then go with the creme brulee because it has egg and cream in there.

Of course if all this sounds like too much work or expense for a second date but you still want to know about what she's allergic to then just have her over for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches:banana:

I baked a beef roast with carrots cuts around it for additive moisture. allong with thick sliced potatoes cooked slow on range top with thin sliced "unions" and thin sliced bell peppers, latter toped with butter and sour cream. I spent about 30 min in kitchen and the meal was deliciouse all due to the roasts prep. I beat the meat lol and cut wholes into it, all over, rubbed a home mixed batter into it theroughly and then plugged cut garlik into wholes. it was sooo goood I scored another date. Yeah me! Thanx for addvice everyone.
