Mega Church Trends

Q. Is there a trend now
for Pastors of Mega-churches to gloss over
the fact that we are all sinners
dead in our sin until we call on Jesus
to be our Savior?
I know I’ve seen this happen
at small churches as well,
but it’s like droves and droves of people
are flocking to the megas
because they can remain comfortable
when listening to the message.
What can I do about it?
How can I help people see
that we are a hopeless people,
a hopeless generation,
without Christ as our savior?

A. This is just one more indication
that the apostasy that Paul foretold
in 2 thes. 2:3 has begun.
v3, "Let no man deceive you by any means:
for that day shall not come,
except there come a falling away first,
and that man of sin be revealed,
the son of perdition;"

You’ll see more and more of this
as the end draws nearer.
True believers are being separated
from the others to prepare the rapture.

What can you do?
Just keep insisting on the clear
unmistakable gospel that we’re sinners
in need of a Savior,
and Jesus agreed to be our Savior.
He died for our sins
so that we could live eternally with Him.
Tell it to any one you can while you can,
because soon it’ll be too late for them.

I am so not into Mega Churchs. They are more about money than spirituality.

I am not for or against mega churches.I have been to church services in huge arenas and I really felt the Holy ghost flowing through the building.Seeing Billy graham at a capacity show in a huge football stadium was one of the highlights of my Christian faith.Big churches are nice to attend because they usually have a book store and gift shop where you can see the latest books and CD's.I do think the bigger churches are more likely to be corrupted by the huge amount of money flowing through them.I left my church for many years because the pastor was always driving a brand new car every 6 months and was always telling us we should give no less than a 50 dollar bill and should be giving several hundred. He was as corrupt as you can be.

Personally I like to go into the dirt poor neighborhoods and go to some run down church. The people and the service is as real as it gets and the pastor does not waste half of the service talking about trips,vacations,workshops,etc...I used to go to a church were everyone was black and I was the only white guy.It was a great church but I never felt comfortable going there. The 3 1/2 hour service was a big long also.

I can understand that. At this point in time...
I am grateful that there are sunday schools,
bible studies, houses of worship and fellowship,
whatever the size or capacity...
as long as the gospel is preached,
shared, and discussed in the spirit if love.
Also that there are still souls who are asking,
and those who can answer
"What must I do to be saved?"
