hope it happens, guess im just low in confidence and feelin sorry for myself

I don't believe in the whole "destiny" thing; all I know is I can't find anyone suitable!

For the longest time, I had my mind made up that I would remain single for life and never get involved with anyone. Then, for some reason, I decided to try online dating just over two months ago. Now, a mindset I once thought was etched in stone is now crumbling away. I am now viewing the idea of relationships and marriage in a much more positive light. There may be some truth to all this destiny business. My original desire to remain alone was totally self imposed. As for my change of heart, I have no idea where it came from.

the universe is a funny thing, it will always live up or down according to your expectations...

if you believe you are "destined" to remain alone, then Im fairly certain thats what is going to happen, even if you meet someone..self-fulfilling prophecy wont be denied....

if, however you believe you have a lot to offer someone else and are full of unconditional love, you will never know loneliness...

if you hang on to the idea that you "have" to be romantically involved with someone in order to be happy then your desire will only lead to suffering and a sense of loneliness...

at least, that is what I believe and what I have lived...

I met some great people and some not so great, through here and offline, there is always one constant for me, I feel I'm going to be alone, not because I want to, being single can be nice, but I miss having someone to come home to, to be affectionate with, to cook for and share a laugh. Unfortunately I found out most people just want a past time, to satiate an immediate pleasure or appease their loneliness for some time and usually don't care whom they hurt in the process. It's a real pity, I think I have a lot to offer and seems like life is a bit empty when you don't have anyone to share it with.

Way I look at it is, you really can't force someone to take a notice on to you or even like you, go about life, work on your goals and as you do that it will just fall into place naturally, most relationships I've ever been in came unexpectedly I was just working 2 jobs going about life and being content that I'm at least working towards a better future etc... then it just happened, but so did going to being single, that kinda just happened also lol.

Anyhow that's also the point of online sites such as this, kinda helps move it along faster for some I guess.
