I would see it more as a person simply checking someones head more than messing with it; understanding that there are surely "control freaks", out there but coming from my own personal encounters with this type of testing, I agree that it's to be more of a personal well thought up tool to see where a person is at and where they are likely to go with a relationship. I must agree though, people that abuse this form of "getting to know someone" should really just stay home, get into some nice PJs, cuddle up to their extra pillow and fall asleep to a boring movie knowing that they didnt waste anyones time.......because thats about all they are worth.... :)

Probably been said already - but hey ho .... 'Mind games' are NOT a woman thing in my experience - they are a people thing. Some people appear to delight in messing with your head - others do so without that ever being the intention: ('cos it has a lot to do with how we perceive the actions or words of another)- whilst others still are so clear and straightforward in their communications that they never appear to be in the mind game ball park. Just a wild stab in the dark - but I would guess that the majority of us fall somewhere in the middle.

usually people play games because they aren't that into you, or there is a communication gap and they feel insecure in the relationship so they look at ur response to their game as a measure of how u feel - faulty thinking? yes, but it happens

some peole also play games because it's how they were raised - it is normal behavior & communication t othem - really don't even know they r playing games & they r the worst kind because they just don't get it...no idea they r doing anythnig wrong...
