I've never Skyped with anyone from Mingle, but I have used it with a few of my friends from college since we all graduated, and with my friend who lives in Ireland. It's a pretty great tool for communication. I also use Yahoo Messenger with webcam and voice enabled and iChat via AIM with my Mac friends. Webcams are an amazing invention; a webcam helped me maintain a 7 year LDR.

WELL I REALLY HAVE BEEN SLOWING DOWN ON MY WEEKEND ACTIVITIES HAHAH JUST HANGIN AT HOME OOOOHHHsorry for the caps

YEA ME TOOO WELL I REALLY HAVE BEEN SLOWING DOWN ON MY WEEKEND ACTIVITIES HAHAH JUST HANGIN AT HOME OOOOHHHsorry for the caps It depends what I would call as weekend activities. I painted a stairway. It's nice, light-green walls, semi-gloss trims..painted the kickboards on the stairs white also.did some carpentry, replacing the baseboard and also fixing the nail pops on the wall. .The kickboards on the stairs was wood color, same color as the steps , but now it's just look different. And I like to change things periodically, so it's a nice change, since I see these stairs every day when I walk up on them..now they just feel different and new..oh well, I'm rambling around... |

So then 2hrs left until closing (Connecticut laws), and I'm a new face at late night at the club..by midnight most people are hammered or having a buzz going, meanwhile I'm sharp an fresh like a razor. I just go in there like Judge Dredd.

I've Skype'd with Jon, of course, and with a few other former Minglers but I haven't been on it in a while. I have used Yahoo Messenger with quite a few people from here, from the continental US, Alaska, and Germany. It's fun to see them on webcam while you are talking to them, and listening to the accents are so cool.

I skyped with someone on here long distance for a month. We ended up meeting but it didn't work out. I would get ready for it just like a real date making sure I looked alright.
I've also used it with a friend in Canada that's on Mingle. With him he didn't use the voice part. I prefer hearing the talking with the picture. Plus he had a great accent and voice since I've talked to him on the phone too. Until there's a need or someone that's interested I'll be web cam free for awhile. |
