I don't see the big deal in her wearing it. It's not like it's illegal anywhere, or she is hurting or offending other people with it other than offending that school board. But still, a rule is a rule...she knew the consequences. In my opinion the whole "religion" excuse is really weak.

I agree the religion excuse isnt very strong if the 'religion' doesnt specifically REQUIRE a nose piercing at all times ,,,which it doesnt,,, she doesnt have to give up piercing as a lifestyle change, just in the hours she attends school |

I can see it now.
Some kids show up to school buck nekkid and claims they belong to the Church of the Naturalists and being forced to wear clothes is unconstitutional.
