if someone takes the time to email you when you are asking people to respond to your profile,it seems to me the least you could do is to answer them in some sort or fashion.i realize that you don,t want to hurt peoples feelings but i believe that most people would rather you be honest with them than be ignored.i know i would but i may be in the minority.what do you think,is it rude to not respond at all. I hate it when people judge you before even talking to you. I have gotten emails saying your ugly, your hideous, I would never date someone as ugly as you, pull your lip over your face and swallow and you might then be attractive. I have heard them all and it really hurts. I have a lot to offer someone. I treat who ever im with like gold. But people are so hung up on looks, that all that matters. They would rather be with some hot guy who treat them like dirt then some ugly guy like me who would make them so happy and would think the world of them. they called you ugly?! um, i would take you any day

How's your neck doing sistah? Still the same....they want to do more steroid shots because the first doctor missed all six herniated disks. Only thing is, I get sick after the shots and am really not looking forward to another three sets of shots.

I always answer, unless it's an obvious scammer. If I'm not interested, I always let the guy know (politely) so he doesn't waste his time.

I used to respond to all messages. Til I got sick of looking up landmarks to draw on the maps I was making for them in order to get to the cliff they were to drive off of at 110mph. I don't respond to the pervs or anyone that starts off "hey sexy" or "hey baby"..I am nobody's baby except my parents.

I always see that as a quandary too. It seems really rude not to reply, especially if someone has taken the time to write a long message and they're polite. But there's always the fear that by replying you're showing an interest which may not be there, thus leaving you with the dilemma of having to say 'no' at some point! But if anyone is crude in any way in their introductory message I don't bother replying at all. |

My thing is, I don't determine attraction until after I have talked to the person. True attraction lies withinb the person, not outside. |

I don't think it's rude to not respond to an email from a stranger.
Why would it be so? Common courtesy might be called for if it was from an acquaintance perhaps, but a random stranger? No... It's only prudent at worst... During summers in highschool, I had a small yard care thing going on for extra spending money. In the fall I'd go door to door at the houses in my nieghborhood that obviously needed their leaves raked. More often than not I'd at least get a "no thank you" if my service wasn't wanted, but there was this one lady who taught me a life lesson when after I'd rung her doorbell three times, she EXPLODED at the door giving me what for and making sure that I understood to NEVER knock or ring more than once... I got the lesson and it has served me well... She wasn't being rude by any stretch... I was the rude one... |
