Paid shills responding with what the Gov. deems misrepresentation and getting paid to do it.
Look for Gov. terms like, misinformed, hatemongering, islamphobia, racist, bigot, etc. Look for quick responses with links to Left-winged sites. If you spot these terms or quotes, just ignore them. The shills get paid by number of responses. JMO Harper government monitoring online chats about politics Correcting what it calls 'misinformation' Sheila Scott May 23, 2010 OTTAWA (NEWS1130) - The Harper government has been monitoring political messages online, and even correcting what it considers misinformation. One local expert says the government is taking things too far. Under the pilot program the Harper government paid a media company $75,000 to monitor and respond to online postings about the east coast seal hunt.<<<Among other topics. UBC Computer Science professor and President of the BC Freedom of Information and Privacy Association, Richard Rosenberg, says it seems unnecessary for the government to be going this far. "The government has a lot of power, that it feels the need to monitor public bulletin boards, or places where people express views and then to respond to that, seems to me going beyond a reasonable action the government should be taking." Rosenberg says knowing that the government is monitoring certain topics online could result in people being more careful with their identities when they're posting about political issues on the internet. He says it's the first time he's heard of this happening in Canada.<<OKAY. Whatever they're paying the 'shills' to gather "intelligence" from political boards?
It's not enough for the masochism they have to go through. -Kerry O. |

The left was screaming about wiretapping and online surveillence a few years ago, but when one of THEIR people wants to use it, its suddenly okay.

The left was screaming about wiretapping and online surveillence a few years ago, but when one of THEIR people wants to use it, its suddenly okay. wiretapping is a different story, it is intruding upon obvious privacy however, right now I am able to RESPOND to your post, so there is nothing private about it,,,,,ANYONE with internet access to respond to internet posts,,,,, not anyone with a telephone can respond to the private conversation of two individuals on a telephone or record it,,, |

You're right about the internet, but wrong about the phone.
the phone is not a private (one on one) means of communication?
Yes it is...but your beloved govt. has been recording and listening in on private phone conversations for years.
yes they have, for 'security' reasons supposedly,,,,
I think its a relatively harmless authority (listening) so long as the first amendment is still a common right,,, |

If that privacy is being broken, its being broken. Only with you is it okay. Others may have an objection to it.

yes they have, for 'security' reasons supposedly,,,, I think its a relatively harmless authority (listening) so long as the first amendment is still a common right,,, Only if you are actively involved in some sort of criminal operation, and with a warrant from a judge, should your communications be monitored. Under no other circumstances should the government be able to invade your privacy. |

Public transportation is a different matter. Staying on subject, the govt. has been monitoring private messages for years, even emails.
