The following was taken from The Rapid City Journal today 6/26/07.

RESTARUANT OWNER AVOIDS PRISON TIME

"SIOUX FALLS, SD The owner of a Sioux Falls restaruant on Monday was
fined $15,000 and ordered to perform 200 hours of community service for
hiring illegal immigrants and paying them in cash to cover their illegal
status.

Julio Espino, owner of the Inca Mexican Restarunat, pleaded guilty
earlier to harboring an illegal alien.

A federal judge also ordered four years of supervised probation and six
months of house arrest.

Last month the manager of the restarunat was fined $3,000 and placed on
four years probation after pleading guilty to recruiting illegal aliens
for employment. "

The laws to solve the problem are already on the books if they were only
enforced. It is time that people of this country demand the removal of
public official who have sworn to uphold the law and then refuse to do
so. If the entire senate and congress knew that their sorry butts were
on the line and that they were about to be removed form office they
would change sides on the immigration issue so fast you would think a
tornado hit Congress.

ok...first of all.. if there were no illegal workers.. there would be no
one in fields picking vegtables and doing hard labor for VERY LITTLE
PAY!!! i know not alot of white guys would be doing hard labor for 5$
and hour!! so until u sit back and relize what this country would be
without those hard working indivuals...dont knock people that give them
a chance to sucseed in life!!!!! becouse i garentee .. if all the
illegal immagrants were gone this country would go to SH*T!!!!

Working immigrants hard for $5 an hour is modern day slavery. Send the
illegals home and let them immigrate the right way, so that they don't
have to do back breaking work all day for a pittance.

that is pure unadulterated liberal bull**** Heather. We can have a
legal guest worker program that will fill our labor needs if necessary.
To allow people to break the law for the sake of convenience is absurd.
And once again when a liberal cannot refute the issue one reverts to
scare tactics. We will have $10 lettuce etc. Further if you check the
figures you will find that there are more illigal immigrants on welfare
and in jail than actually working. As far as the country going to shi*t

okay u guys, everyone is allowed to express their opinion with out
swearing, and calling names. the problem is one that will not be solved
in our lifetime.

Wow! A lot of inarticulate anger this morning....

Yeah, its nice they are getting some of them. We probably are dependent
to some degree on foreign workers. They should still be paid at least
minimum wage, and not hired in cheaper because they are illegal.

Instead of rewarding the people that broke the law just to enter they
should be deported. Any that are identified, send them home. The current
immigration bill is trash. If we need more workers, let the people
trying to enter legally in, and if needed, allow more to come. You know,
the ones that haven't broke any laws?!?!?

If I get and don't pay a speeding ticket I will go to jail, because they
know where I live. If an illegal gets and don't pay they probably wont,
since most use false information.

I am in now way a racist or any thing else, I don't care if they are
brown, yellow, white, orange, or even purple, if they are legal fine, if
not put them on a bus and drop them off several hundred miles from their
border. Don't understand why US taxpayers are responsible for getting
them all the way home when we are not the ones that got them here in the
first place.

Those darn liberals Democrats and Republicans would never resort
to scare tactics!

Call your troops back from Iraq and let them work the border

Speaking of troops....coming back and working. I attended an
inspirational workshop hosted by motivational speaker Monteil Williams
at Ft. Lewis, Washington. Mr. Williams has a rather extensive military
career, and it is his belief that our country is headed for a recession.
That if the troops are called back, our economy is not going to be able
to support them.....they will not be able to find jobs. I found that
very interesting.
There are problems, and there are solutions. Why don't you spend some
quality time exploring solutions. Sending people back is not going to
work. It is a temporary fix.

If you support the capitalist system then you have no right to complain
about illegals and other foreigners taking your bread from you. "Free"
enterprise allows the top corporations to destroy the working and lower
middle class white man by taking away all the good jobs and sending them
to other countries. All the manufacturing jobs in this country like the
auto, steel, etc industry are being taken to other countries, while all
the service industry jobs that they can't export are given to illegals.
Then they invite millions of new "countrymen" to leech off the system
intended to help poor people in this country.

The only solution is to smash the system. This is the main problem of
America. People still have faith in this vile deMOCKcracy, which is out
there to only serve the special interests and israeli lobby groups.
Other's are just too lazy to care and are content with a couple of beers
in the fridge and cable tv.

If you're not willing to defend what's yours, you don't deserve it!

earning while working here. also don't be afraid of the giant
corporations, walmart for example. if you catch them working, fine the
corporation, the ceo and all of the other little idiots he has under
him. then of course you should add jail time to that, with no probation
make them serve it. things would soon be turned around, there are plenty
wanting to come here but wanting to do it legally.

bring our troops home to perform border security, why not.we are paying
them to run all over the world, we would now be paying them to work at
home, the only thing that would change is where they are working.

Hmmmmm.....now what if the situation were reversed??? What if....the
USA suddenly became the lesser and were like Mexico??? The mexicans
would be rich and the americans poor? White americans were working
those fields for $5 an hour and trying like h*ll to get into Mexico???
