It looks like in October Windows 7 will be available with a "family bundle pack" that allows up to 3 computers to use the same copy of Windows 7 and the same registration code, without worry of being deemed a pirated copy.

So, if you have more than one computer or have a couple friends that want to upgrade, wait until October (I believe its Oct 3rd) for the family pack deal.

Looks like microsoft's way of celebrating the Big October Socialist Revolution from the Soviet Union.

Not at all. It's just another 'bad' version of Windows. If you're happy with whatever version you're presently using, then stick with it. Personally, I'm still using XP on most of my machines.

whenever Microsoft releases a new OS they count on the users (note:guinea pigs) to let them know of all the bugs the developers didnt catch when they were creating the darn thing in the first place..so if you are thinking of getting an new OS (which if your current one runs good why bother giving Mr. Gates more money?) wait till the patches come out...usually takes a month or two...

I heard it was Users have been complaining on internet forums about the "black screen of death", which causes the screen of their Windows 7 machine to turn black and the computer to crash when a user logs on.

I hear it is a glitch with the ACL but there is a patch that came out so it shouldn't be a problem anymore. I find windows 7 to be at par with windows XP. The only difference is microsoft will be ending updates for xp in favor of updates for windows 7.
So i would get windows 7 soon before the updates end on XP.
