Topic: First Ad for Hillary Clinton in 2012 | |
---|---|
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton insists she's not running for president in 2012, but that hasn't stopped one of her supporters from rolling out a wishful ad.
William DeJean, a Chicago dentist, says he spent $3,000 to create the first "Hillary 2012" ad, and another $2,000 to begin airing it in New Orleans on Wednesday. DeJean said the ad will also air in Washington, New York and Los Angeles in the next few days. He said he hopes the ad will give Clinton an incentive to run. "In my opinion, we need the Clintons back in the White House to fix this country," he told FoxNews.com. "I don't think we're going in the right direction. I don't like this administration. I think they're ruining the Democratic Party." "My ad is expressing what everyone is thinking," he added. The ad is a 30-second ode of pure adulation, with a portrait of Clinton rotating to symphonic music. "She has more experience working in and with the White House than most living presidents," the caption reads. "She is one of the most admired women in our nation's history. Let's make sure the president we should have elected in 2008 will be on the ballot in 2012." The ad ends by urging viewers to start now, and it displays a slogan: "Where there's a Hill, there's a way." Clinton was widely considered the heavy favorite to win the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008, but she failed to muster the votes she needed to defeat upstart candidate Barack Obama. When Obama beat Sen. John McCain in the general election, he offered Clinton the secretary of state job. Clinton has given no indication since Obama moved into the White House that she has an appetite for another presidential bid, and she has repeatedly batted down speculation that she'll run again. But a Rasmussen poll in June showed 57 percent of voters believe Clinton is qualified to be president, compared with 51 percent for Obama. "There's a lot of buyer's remorse with Obama," DeJean said. "I believe Hillary Clinton is the man for the job. If we don't get the Clintons back in the White House, I don't see a future for this country." http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/09/03/clinton-fan-releases-hillary-ad/?test=latestnews I would love to see Hillary take Obama out in the primaries. She would be an easy target to beat in the general, not that Obama's gonna be that hard to beat since most Democrats are done with him now too. |

I am thinking Mitt Romney is. I was against him in 2012 but the more I learn about him the more I like. I think being the successful businessman that he is I think he can turn this economy around in a heartbeat.

Id see how far Clinton has evolved,, if she loses the deception and dirt slinging her campaign pulled in the first campaign,, Id consider a vote for her (depending upon how the debates went)

Obama started the personal attacks. The ONE thing I respect about the Clinton's is they don't go dirty until someone else does. |

now I remember, basically she and OBama ran on the same issues and had the same solutions,,lol
but , I lost faith in her when she jumped on (possibly initiated?) the whole AYERS conspiracy,,,,, I thought she would stick to the issues instead of the usual PERSONAL allegations others use I respected she AND Obama for being positive and addressing issues, but she dropped the ball with me when she took it there and when she claimed to have landed under gunfire,,, |

He went personal way befor that. He started attacking her husband the Adulterer and Chief, her associations and the mysterious death of Vincent Foster(who she was having an affair with for years and who mysteriously committed suicide by long range rifle the day before he was set to testify against Clinton). |

She had no choice to go negative. Some people don't like negative campaigning but most also don't like to see a candidate constantly attacked without response. Smart candidates arn't going to be punching bags. |

I want to see HC try going up against Sarah Palin ... ain't no contest ... Hillary needs to learn the word that best describes her and her future is 'over' ... I hope Mitt Romney get the nomination. I was firmly against him in 2008 but after learning more about him I think he is best to guide this country out of the hole Obama, Reid and Pelosi have gotten us into! I could see Palin as a member of his cabinet. I have no clue who he would pick as his number two, maybe Mike Huckabee? I would rather see Duncan Hunter or Tom Tancredo personally. |

No Romney. No Gingrich. No Kasich. No Graham. No McLame. My biggest fear is that the ever-incompetent 'pubs WILL put McLame up again ... they never fail to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory ... they need to make Palin the nominee. I'll take her experience any day against what 'The UN' brought to the presidency ... she's already miles ahead, and she has better instincts than Romney - who'd stick with 'The UN's 'DeathCare' 'cuz it's 'comfortable' for him, since it's so close to the program he instituted. You know, the one that's gone bankrupt ...
Other than that, a Tancredo / Hunter ticket would be fantastic ... and make Sheriff Joe head of DHS ... |

Unfortunately neither will make it out of a primary. I supported both in 2008 until they dropped out. First I supported Tancredo then Hunter. Tancredo has the best stances on Illegal Immigration, National Security and fighting terrorism by putting Mecca and Medina in our cross hairs if we get attacked again. Palin I don't really like. Romney has the experience as Governor and as a very successful businessman to help pull us out of the recession. Like I said I would really like ot see Hunter or Tancredo as his running mate and or part of his cabinet along with Palin. |
