Are you at a point in your life where dating is a waste of time or are you still looking forward to it?

Guess that would depend on the attitude of the person.......interests etc......non-jealous because I have many male gendered friends because of my interests and we do fish practice different casts together.....catch bait so on.....I need a very special person that understands I have hobbies and interests too.....and where I will always come home to them.....I guess the kind of relationship my parents have....just seems like people can not drop their past experiences cut the chips from their shoulders and trust in something new without their pasts clouding their views....always try to look at each new relationship with the eyes of positive thinking towards a undamaged perceptions and and a new learning experience or reason and compromise without battling but acting like adults and ttalking....so I guess forward to finding what I am looking for if it exists between my parents it exists

Dating is something that has turned out to be more trouble than its worth...just the idea of getting together with someone I hardly know and spending the nite making "small talk" trying to get to know each other exhausts me even before I step out the door....

If Im going to go out with someone its going to be with a person I already know and feel comfortable with....

So I guess I dont date, I make friends first and then just kind of hang out....

I agree with you. I would much rather date someone I have gotten to know first. Unfortunately, the only guy that has my attention is my boss's son and, I don't think that's a good idea.

To me... dating these days seem like an interview.
I don't wanna interview people
and I don't wanna be interviewed.

People are far too complicated
to be figured out and understood
in a few hours or even a few days...

While I trust my intuition to keep me away from people
I'd rather not hang out with
I don't rely on it to flesh out
the hidden beauties of an individual...

Relationships take time; full of periods of silence
and considerations of the other's life story
and while the past is merely prologue,
it's often worth hearing when you feel a connection.

...that's just me though.
