so I guess there are no upstanding christians either as the bible puts NO restrictions on marital age or consent to sexual relations(which is only supported within a marriage), except that one should leave their parents to be married and condones not 'sparing the rod' when it comes to children(is it better or worse to apply that to a child than to an adult?) and condones 'dowrys' for certain types of marriages and condoned MULTIPLE wives and killing in the name of God ,,,,its hard to contend with a religious book of any kind that includes stories of both mans actual behavior and lessons about what their ideal behavior SHOULD be you can find a story to support anything amongst all those pages,, people do the same thing with christianity , it pains my heart that christians dont see it being done to muslim,,,, I may be no bilblical schlor but I don't believe Jesus married a 6 year old and started boinking her when she was 8 or 9. Also the sale and abuse of women and multipple wives is frowned opon in all the major religions, except Islam. jesus married noone, but not because the bible said he COULDNT or even FROWNED upon it,, show me where the bible FROWNS upon sex based upon biological age,, ANYWHERE biological age laws are decided by CULTURE not any biblical doctrine,, a culture decides when someone is able and capable of marriage and sex and nowhere in the bible were guidelines about age given,,, (if you research biblical times and judaism you would actually find that marriages could begin as early as 12 years old with parental consent,) as far as that goes, show me where the bible condemns striking a spouse or paying for them,, its not there because those are CULTURAL decisions,,, |

I believe he in fact was married to Mary Magdeline. I believe that he was also a father. I don't believe in all the conspiracy theroy's. The bible doesn't talk about those issues, not only does the Quran talk about them, the pedophile Mohamud practiced all of them. Hell, he even declared that men shouldn't pull out! their prophet was a purported 'pedophile' but my God was a 'killer' I believe in God and his reasons and they believe in their reasons,,,, it makes me no better than them, it means I pray for them and I hope that they live their lives in accordance with Gods instruction,, but it doesnt make me hate and it doesnt make them my enemy and it certainly doesnt mean that they are any less upstanding than any of us,,, continue to believe what you wish, instead of trying to truly LOOK at things in context,,,, people do it with the Bible, why not with the Qu ran I give up, keep up the hate and division and the illusion that some hateful people are better than others,,, |

Is there any? If you consider upstanting to include believing in a religion that condones pedophilia and child marriages, the beating and discliplining of women, the sale of women and children, supporting terrorist acts in the name of Allah, depravity and having multiple wives then yes there are. If you see that for the religion of human rights violations that it really is, then no there is not. Considering everything you named there is included in Christianity plus add the incest at the beginning of the bible....well you know the rest. |
