Nothing gained.

Do you agree with this?

How far would you venture to gain something you really want?

What would be something, no matter how much you want it, that isn't worth the venture? Example (for me): wanting to be with someone but they are in a relationship or not interested.

If someone is already in a relationship then I consider them off limits-how many times have you been cheated on? If someone is just not interested then what real chance do you have other than just making a fool of yourself. Sometimes it is hard to give up something you want so badly-but you have to consider why you want it-is it the winning or the game itself?

Why would you want to be in a relationship with someone who isn't interested in having a relationship with you??

For the example given, no venture would be happening.

But in life in general I would say it applies. You have to step out of the comfort zone a bit to reach some of those hard to reach goals.

"Nothing ventured, nothing gained."

Has logic holes riddled all over it. It can work, but only in certain situations and even then it isn't on account of venturing it is usually on account of what someone personally was going to do already.

In your situation? Sorry, but I don't see this recycled quote helping you in any way, shape, or form. Don't follow little catch-phrases like that either, I'm afraid that one will lead to more damage than good.

The key is understanding risk. The greater the risk, greater the reward. You should understand the risk and decide what you are willing to lose for what you will gain.

I agree if the goal is realistic. If not, as in your example I would not waste precious time. Once gone you cannot regain that time back!

I don't think there is a goal that I have placed for myself that is not worth pursuing.

Good point. Can't learn from mistakes if you never make them because you don't try

Here is my thought process (don't be afraid laugh )

Goals are something you reach for. Doesn't mean you will grab it though. It is something to strive for.

First off,,,I would never be in any three-some of any form,,as to be seen as a third party to one!

As for the what would I do, or not,,,
If I felt them MUCH in my heart, and felt they felt that same,,,then
I could and would do whatever it took to Make-it-so,,,wink..

But never to FEEL that I TOOK someone away from someone else who they had been with when WE MET.......
