flowerforyou Poor kid had to have 2 of his adult teeth extracted today
because of them crowding. He's doing ok but he wants his pain meds to
work immediately. The numbness is wearing off already. I already have
tomato soup and pudding stocked up for him but he says it hurts to even
eat the pudding..yes chocolate pudding evensad

my daughter has had 1 of her adult teeh pulled and when she was 6 she
had 6 baby root canals.
She has very soft teeth and problem with crowding, she takes care of her
teeth but still has problems. she is 11 also.
her dentist gave her tylenol with codene but she never wanted to take
it.
You could try ambosol to numb the area again

Try putting him in a hooded sweatshirt with a pkg of frozen peas inside
the hood. keep rotating the packs--the hood will keep them in place
even while he sleeps.

my sons had ALOT of major surgerys and indeed nausea goes with the pain meds. Make sure your boy has a cracker or sumtin in his stomach b4 taking the meds. Also dont wait the full dose time as the bottle states. Its OK (TRUST ME) to give him the next dose of pain meds at say 3 1/2 hours instead of every 4 hours if the bottle reads that. Pain management and medication is for just that. USE IT. He wont overdose and it will keep the medication at a steady level. BIG SISTER HUGS going out to you!!
I just sat and watched my son have a baby tooth extracted watching him turn WHITE in the dentist chair crying "OWWWW!!! THAT HURRRRRRTS!!!". OMG!!! I WAS CLAWING AT THAT CHAIR. Bless his heart! with the autism my heart BROKE!sad He's ok now but i am just LIVID with that dentist NOT giving him any pain medicine!!!!!!

Kater-If the pain is still coming back, ****tail with Tylenol and Advil. One every 3 hours.

D had major surgery last year. The vicodin did nothing for the pain, but made him sassier than usual. The doc recommended the ****tail and it worked. Just got to get it in them before the pain comes back.

Glad he is feeling better.

Hugs, M
