What do the experts think? I'm thinking about getting her something
potted instead of the traditional roses... I think something in a pot
would make a statement about commitment, but a dozen red roses would
definatly set the evening mood to romantic imo... I don't know which way
to go... help please.

I personally wouldn't go with a plant, it does say commitment but it
doesn't WOW her. How about something a little more exotic than roses?
If you go to a local florist they aren't that expensive.

I usually tell my florist what I want the flowers to do for me(like wish
my sis happy b-day etc) and choose from thier suggestions

I love orchids and tulips, they just don't last that long :(

ok then , consider the jasmine, a vine that gently clings but is not
"too" aggressive, and produces an erotic blossom that is so pure in it's
innocence and absolutely intoxicating as it dances on the breeze and
climbs the window....


honeysuckle is also cool , but i find it less elegant than jasmine and a
bit messy as a vine...always reminds me of morning
hair...hahhahahhahaaaa


jasmine is more vain, she curls her tendrils delicately , and directs
them to her next touch with deliberate grace.

honeysuckle is just wild all over the place!!

and look at the different vines and see which one represents the
attributes of both of you, in the growth of your journey together

there are mini rose plants that come in pots, they are kinda nice

First date is a single red or yellow rose. A whole dozen on the first
date shows desperation. Way over-kill. I gave my girl a small teddybear
with a note attached and she loved that one. It's something that she can
sit on her dresser and remember you by. Also..spray little of your
cologne on it.

ohhh i once dated this guy who brought me roses everytime...... he would
cut them hisself... once on the way to my house he saw a lady tending
her roses and asked her if he could have a couple.... i thought that was
cool!!!! and no he was never cheap..... just wanted to be more
sentimental with his flowers!!!
