Stolen Summer

Directed by Pete Jones, this heart-tugging family drama follows the divine mission of Pete O'Malley (Adi Stein), an Irish-Catholic 8-year-old in Chicago who aims to get his terminally ill Jewish friend (Mike Weinberg) into heaven -- through religious conversion. The veteran adult cast includes Aidan Quinn as Pete's insular, disapproving father and Kevin Pollak as the genial, broadminded rabbi whose son is dying.

Life as a House

Faced with a sobering diagnosis of terminal cancer, George (Kevin Kline) decides to construct a beautiful new house on his land overlooking the Pacific Ocean, while at the same time trying to connect with his estranged son (Hayden Christensen). Kristin Scott Thomas and Mary Steenburgen co-star in this moving dramedy that speaks eloquent volumes about the fragility -- and resilience -- of the human condition.

Thanks! I wrote the titles down & will put them in my que tonight! flowerforyou

Two other movies for you Deb

Now and Then

Waxing nostalgic about the bittersweet passage from childhood to puberty in this tender coming-of-age tale, four childhood girlfriends -- Teeny, Chrissy, Samantha and Roberta -- recall the magical summer of 1970. During their walk down memory lane, they reconcile experiences with boys, secrets, bullies and more. Lesli Linka Glatter directs; Gaby Hoffmann, Ashleigh Aston Moore, Cloris Leachman, Thora Birch and Christina Ricci co-star.

The Christmas Cottage(Thomas Kinkade's Home for Christmas)

When his mother is in danger of losing her home, young Thomas Kinkade (Jared Padalecki) learns some lessons about love and friendship as kindhearted artist Glen Wessler (Peter O'Toole) leads the community to help save the house. Meanwhile, the future "Painter of Light" begins to find his own style as an artist. Based on true events that led to Kinkade's popular success, this holiday bonbon co-stars Marcia Gay Harden, Gina Holden and Edward Asner.

It always takes an adjustment to get back in the swing of things, but once I do, I am happy to be back. I love teaching.
