What do I really want? A safe environment to express the authentic me. Enough of the basics to survive....food, water, clothing, shelter.. An opportunity to meet likeminded folk...who 'SEE' me and accept me as I am. ....easy peasy....the rest is cake!...(a bonus)

Your generalization speaks volumes for your lack of exposure to women. Surely you haven’t met everyone woman on the planet. If you stop focusing on finding the RIGHT girl, and focus on developing yourself - career, travel, education – then you will be open to an entirely different world. Take a month-long Sabbatical to Europe or get your master’s degree. I guarantee the type of girl who attracts you, as well as the quality of girl, will be vastly different than the girls you find attractive now. Although I don’t buy into this theory entirely, if you are dating “young” women then of course they don’t know what they want in life; they haven’t lived life or gained insight as to what is important in life. I’m 44 – never married and no kids. I chose to travel and climb the ladder of higher education all the way to my doctoral. The last thing I’m worried about is finding a man. When it happens, I THINK I am ready. I’ve met enough men to know what I don’t want – that’s for sure. My last comment, and perhaps the most unkind (not directed at you – but to everyone who makes your statement) is just because they don’t want you doesn’t mean they don’t know what they want. They know they don’t want you. Trust me – I’ve been there to so don’t take it personally. Just relax and enjoy dating.
