Topic: Harry Reid....Racist?????? | |

Harry Reid once again demonstrates that it is OK to be a racial bigot, so long as you are a leftwing racial bigot.
“I don’t know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican, OK? Do I need to say more?” — Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), August 10, 2010 Earlier this year we learned that, in 2008, Reid suggested that Obama’s success was due in part to his “light-skinned”appearance and ability to turn on/off his “Negro dialect.” Because Reid is a leftwing bigot, the biased main stream media wing of the Democrat party gave Reid a pass for his racist remarks about Obama. In case it is necessary to point out the double standard here, just think for a moment about what happened to former Majority Leader Trent Lott over more innocuous comments. Fortunately there are alternatives to the JournoList-controlled media. Fox News’ “Fox and Friends,” gave Florida’s Republican U.S. Senate nominee Marco Rubio –a Republican of Hispanic heritage, an opportunity to respond to Reid’s latest “outrageous” and “ridiculous” racial slur http://www.redstate.com/california_yankee/2010/08/11/marco-rubio-takes-harry-reid-to-task-for-reids-latest-racist-slur/ Ya know if a Republican would have made either comment there would be riots, calls for resignation, law suits, extreme cries of racism, but when Dem's do it, its ok. I guess Harry Reid learned a lot from his mentor Robert Byrd. |

When the topic of wether English should be the official language of the U.S. came up a few years ago, Harry "Ballsac" Reid made the statement "Thats Racist"....while speaking English to do it!!

wow, another politician lobbying for support for his party
is this any different than the promotions and emails and sites dedicated to explaining why blacks should be republicans instead of democrats.....? not really I think any time you bring race or ethinicity into politics, you will get backlash,, this is nothing new or unique to this politician |

I feel Reids racism is pretty mainstream american. Not hatefulness, just ignorance.
Accepted and acceptable behavior.
Cool, colored folks have gotten a little more thick-skinned and we can now throw away all that PCBS |
I wouldnt say ignorance is 'acceptable',but its expected at this point in our history, and its just not as likely to get my panties in a bunch as hatefulness

minorities being or supporting the republican party shouldn't be a shocker cause Abe Lincoln created the republican party as a anti-slavery party...just typin I agree, but for different reasons first, I think individuals support a candidate based upon what they view as similar interests and no candidate is going to share all my interests and priorities so I personally have to pick and choose the combination I prefer second , I think people perceive republicans to be conservative(through observation of TODAYS republican spokespersons and politicians) and demnocrats to be liberals(by that same standard) I registered democrat, because I dont really want government dictating morals as much as I want them to represent the peoples needs , all peoples needs, and I dont see republicans reaching out to middle or lower class very often I also registered democrat because its the party of my parents and I knew at eighteen that if it didnt end up being right for me I could always change it I remained a democrat, because the presidential elections which are the main and prime election I am sure to always participate in, seems to produce better democratic candidates than republican(at least since I have been of voting age) but I do wish people would slip out of the mindset of supporting a party or electing a party and start paying attention to the PEOPLE they are putting in power |

I prefer Leaders who will govern by the Rule of Law and in line with the Constitution.
When MSM will promote one, probably never. |

I agree with his statement on minorities being Republican. If they understand the Republican stance on issues they wouldn't follow that party.
As to his other statements, I think it is ignorance on his part. He has a white man's understanding of black folks and it is usually almost non existent understanding. |
