Topic: hypothetical work offer | |

what would you do? I was offered to work 10 hours a day four days a week, OR 8 hours a day five days a week. Which offer would you take, and why? |

Depends on what kind of work.
Ten hours on your feet means you may spend that extra day off sitting around with your feet up trying to recover. |

4 10 hour days if I had my choice. I'd already be there so what is 2 more hours a day if it gives me another whole day off!

Thank goodness I don't have to think about that anymore

what would you do? I was offered to work 10 hours a day four days a week, OR 8 hours a day five days a week. Which offer would you take, and why? First I'd ask what I'd be DOING during the time I had to be there, seemsayin' ... If I don't know that, the pay, the health insurance benefits (well, kiss those goodbye, huh?), the vacation time accrual policy, 401(k) employer contribution, etc etc, I can't make a prudent choice now, can I ... ? |

I'd go with 10 hours a day, 4 days a week.

I used to work 4 10s and loved it cause I was off on payday.

I prefer to work 8 hours 5 days a week. (1) I'd be anticipating those extra 2 hours to arrive near the end of work. (2) I wouldn't want to go back to work after having 3 days off in a week.

either way, work sucks...

Definitely 4 10s man. That's like a holiday weekend every week.

I have actually worked both and right now I prefer 8/5 because I have kids at home. When I worked 10/4 it was a nightmare trying to get supper done, homework done, etc. before it got too late in the evening. When my kids leave home I will go back to working 10/4 because then I will be able to run all my errands and make appointments for one of my days off and then still have 2 days off to do whatever I want.
