Better start with Woodrow Wilson if you wanna put a 'start date' on when Socialism was introduced into the U.S. ... then add Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, LBJ, CAHtah!, Clinton, and finally 'The UN' - but he's a Communist, which is the end of the Socialist 'transition phase' ...

(These revisionist historians are hysterically funny!)

No it actually started under Reagan.

"Let's go back to the early 1980's. In 1981, Reagan signed a law that sharply reduced the income tax for the wealthiest Americans and corporations. The president asserted his program would create jobs, purge inflation and, get this, trim the budget deficit. However, following the tax cut, the deficit soared from 2.5 percent of GDP to over 6 percent, alarming financial markets, sending interest rates sky high, and culminating in the worst recession since the 1930's. "

Oh wow, you quoted a site like this? Really, a site that does NOT have the GOP's shill of approval? Really?...you are only fooling the fools...lol.

When are you going to realize that what party someone belongs to doesn't really matter ?

You either support a free market or you support a regulated subsidized market..

Notice in a free market there is no government interference. That means no regulation and no subsidies ie tax breaks or bailouts..

So the system that you obviously support is the one that gives the tax breaks and subsidies to BIG business..

If you don't like that aspect of a government regulated economic market then maybe you should consider supporting a free market that takes care of underachievers by putting them out of business instead of having to give them tax breaks and bailouts..

Hear, hear! Free market FTW! drinker

There are those who have warned that the socialists have taken over America but, unfortunately, that message has not been accepted by the vast majority of Americans even though some in the media such as Rush Limbaugh have made the strong case that these tax-and-spend Liberals have turned our government into a Marxist state. Even more alarming is the degree to which even fellow Republicans have supported this initiative for decades.

One has to go back into our history to see where all the socialism began. But most agree it became rampant during the reign of FDR beginning in the 1930s. Of course, it began even earlier with taxation, which sought to take from the people and give to the government to pay for such socialist enterprises as the federal bureaucracy and armed forces.

During the socialist era of FDR, state sponsored programs sought to provide jobs and security to many Americans who otherwise could not find work during the Great Depression. For the most part, these Americans were just lazy, lacked initiative, or were inspired by communists who wanted to seize total control of the government.

Unknown to most Americans, the socialists and communists did seize control and FDR and his administration turned America into a feeding trough for these unpatriotic citizens. Jobs programs such as the WPA and CCC were created to build infrastructure such as dams and many other public works as well as our National Parks System.

During World War II, socialism was expanded (under the guise of fighting the Nazis and Japanese militarists) and women required to work in factories to support the war effort. Children were even brain-washed into thinking that recycling metal was for the 'cause.'

Socialists hiding under the mantle of liberal philosophies and with the sad help of some misguided Republicans, have expanded the socialist state to include a Federal bureaucracy that is so huge as to include such gargantuan entities as the Pentagon, the Treasury, the State Department, the Social Security Trust Fund, the Veterans Administration, Medicare and Medical and many other such bureaucracies that steal money from the citizens of our great county.

Why, I ask you are not these entities run by private corporations which can do the job much more efficiently? Corporate scandals are the exception to the rule as everyone knows corporations run by rich folks are the only way to prevent so much thievery as there is little motivation for avariciousness when one is rich, (the recent multitude of scandals are the exception to this rule).

Socialism has gotten so bad that farmers are subsidized and even paid not to grow crops. The list is long and includes dairy farmers, tobacco and wheat growers, and almost every agricultural product seen in today's supermarkets. In fact, socialism has infiltrated the mindset of nearly every legislator in the country. This socialist mentality is a disease which is destroying the very fabric of our society.

Would you believe that even oil companies and many other industries are subsidized by the government? Yes, it is true although the government hides this fact since it contradicts the pretense that we are a capitalist country.

Please, please bring back the good old days of pure capitalism which, if my knowledge of history serves me right, was between 1839-1844 in a sub-hamlet of Manchester in England right before do-gooders started to assert the cause against child labor.

Even more depressing is another more subtle form of socialism which I can only call familial socialism. It is the practice of families helping each other out. This is a blight that has been with us since the dawn of time and yet, like original sin, is something that we must be saved from.

Many parents help their kids even into adulthood, providing them with money for college and other socialist ventures which may include extended vacations. Indeed, many of our most honored so-called capitalistic, conservative families have accepted this practice as if it were the most natural thing in the world. So much so that they often provide perpetual security for their kids, offering them jobs for which very little actual work is done. I believe former President Bush was raised this way. It is with much embarrassment and irony that I have to admit this.

And worse, many of our most affluent families allow their children to inherit their wealth and businesses without even requiring them to work at all. Such blatant socialism has become a silent disease with victims too numerous to even begin mentioning. When, oh when, will we be honest and admit that socialism is so ingrained in our social-economic systems that we must all endeavor to identify these unnatural propensities if we are to ever root them out.

I, for one, am trying to set an example by refusing to pay any federal taxes. How do I do it? I live very simply, under the poverty line. The government can't tax me if I don't have any money. And most of the time I don't. To avoid sales taxes, I swap with most of my neighbors and do work at the local mini-market in exchange for some dinged can goods. I have avoided property taxes since I don't own property but since I have a car, I do have to pay gasoline taxes and other taxes which go under the name of licensing fees. But I’ve decided to buy a bicycle and get rid of my car once and for all. I'm prepared to live like an impoverished Afghani if it is necessary!

Much to my honor, I refuse to help my kids financially, so that they can know the true meaning of unadulterated capitalism and not become infected with the expectation of help in any way, manner, shape or form. At the age of ten, my kids are taught to fend for themselves. Some make it and some don't. But the ones that do are dyed in the wool Limbaugh conservatives, ready to die for freedom and America at the blink of an eye.

It's something Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone would be proud of. And it's a challenge each and every American should and must inevitably face lest we become like the Social-Democracies in western Europe where workers get six week vacations and have access to universal health care, just two of the many features of socialist countries where the government actually takes care of its citizens.

So, I ask you to join me in returning this great country to the civilized place it once was when we had slaves to do the work, Indians to fight, women who obeyed and God to depend on.

I like to call it good ole fashion Imperialism dressed up as a bird...with the wings being the reps and the dems. Either way they are still attached to the same bird. The two party system is nothing more than saying we have a choice....its like COKE AND PEPSI are a choice...its like McDonalds and Burger King are a choice....yup we have a choice alright. And the money we give the dems and the reps end up in the same pockets of the ones who own the Cokes and the Pepsi's....Its all Imperialism dressed up in a nice pretty corporate suit called capitalism. I ain't buying it...As soon as they burn The Federal Reserve ACT of 1913 and turn over the books and the keys to the government...I will start thinking we live in a capitalistic free society again. But until then...you guys keep call it socialism...there is nothing socialistic about it....THE BANKS OWN IT ALL and its going off shore....HOW is that socialism? WOW...Obama's cabinet comes straight off of wall street and people call this country socialism....wow. BUSH, OBAMA...COKE,PEPSI....you starting to see it? NO DIFFERENCE. I think as soon as we have ONE WORLD BANK...then you will see socialism...they gotta keep us alive to run their machines and take out their trash.
