I am Lex Fonteyne, a famous (?) author and Pepsi addict.
My philosophy of life, in simplistic form: 1.) Time does not exist. "I suggest that our belief in time and a past arises solely because our entire experience comes to us through the medium of static arrangements of matter, in Nows, that create the appearance of time and change." -- Julian Barbour 2.) Man is not an end in himself, merely a steppingstone (or perhaps an obstacle) to something far better. "I teach you the overman. Man is something that shall be overcome. What have you done to overcome him? "All beings so far have created something beyond themselves; and do you want to be the ebb of this great flood and even go back to the beasts rather than overcome man? What is the ape to man? A laughingstock or a painful embarrassment. And man shall be just that for the overman: a laughingstock or a painful embarrassment. You have made your way from worm to man, and much in you is still worm. Once you were apes, and even now, too, man is more ape than any ape. "Whoever is the wisest among you is also a mere conflict and cross between plant and ghost. But do I bid you become ghosts or plants? "Behold, I teach you the overman! The overman is the meaning of the earth. Let your will say: the overman shall be the meaning of the earth! I beseech you, my brothers, remain faithful to the earth, and do not believe those who speak to you of otherworldly hopes! Poison-mixers are they, whether they know it or not. Despisers of life are they, decaying and poisoned themselves, of whom the earth is weary: so let them go!" -- Friedrich Nietzsche 3.) There is no meaning to anything other than that which we ascribe to it. |

Hi, I'm Allen and I confess that I've never grown up and I'm not likely to ever do so. It's way overrated.
My philosophy on life is to feel good no matter what, as long as it's not at the expense of other's ability to do the same. |

Myka here, haven't received an official DT nick name yet.
Official view is life sucks and then you die... no wait, Karma is a b*tch.... yeah that's more like it. |

The First lesson of Darkness...
Everything is black... When lit it is all shades of Gray... And Darkness fills the soul... Like refreshing cold of deepest winter... The power of it will make you shiver! Icy fingers playing down your spine... For when the candle dies... Then comes the darkness. Pop Quiz? Which came first... The darkness or the Light? |

Welcome again Everyone
Thank you for your very interesting introductions Sry Msmyka, I will have one ready for you soon, need to keep watch for a bit longer ^^ Darkness, "Everything is Darkness", as you say, and I agree Light is not Everywhere, The light comes and goes, often viewed as "Miracles" or Histrorical events that change life for only moments, before we turn things toward the Cycle again |

You can call me MF'er.
Here's just a quick quip on my view of life. I believe in a beginning and a end, but I think their definitions are reversed. The only thing that has no beginning and no end is a circle. Every thing you see in life is circular or cylinder from our bodies to the planets. Now if you are standing a top of a circle and you throw something as far as it can go, it will end up where it started. In life we may think we are moving forward, but we are actually moving back. Proof? Satellites on the farthest reaches of our galaxy. Sending us pictures of stuff as soon as it gets there, but the objects in the pictures it takes already took place tens of millions of years ago. What direction are we heading. We as well as the rest of the planets are zooming through space in that same direction. So to me the end is the beginning and the present is the end. |
