(CNN) -- Authorities are hunting for three convicted murderers who escaped from a Kingman, Arizona, prison on Friday night.

The Arizona Department of Corrections and the Flagstaff Police said on Saturday that the three disappeared from a medium-security facility and are considered to be armed and dangerous.

State and local authorities are searching for the men, who were discovered missing after the 9 p.m.count in prison. All three suspects were serving time on murder convictions of 15 years to life.

Early Saturday morning, Flagstaff Police said the suspects abducted two people at gunpoint and then released them at a local truck stop in the Kingman area.

The three escaped inmates are: Tracy Province, a 42-year-old white man who is 6 feet 1 inches tall and weighs 184 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes; Daniel Renwick, a 36-year-old white man who is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes and John McClusky, a 45-year-old white man who is 6 feet 1 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

Police said the convicts are also with a woman who helped them escape. Her name is Casslyn Mae Welch and she is a 43-year-old white woman. She is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.

Considering most of the people searching will be white, can't imagine it happening.

which one? i've lots of gonzales and rodrigez in there... and how do you know they are not black? they have pictures there to? sounds like your doing the same thing your so against, if they have non spanish name, they are automatically white?....

they wont get far... to much desert around there, and it's probably 112 there right now.

at least they let the hostages go....they should get a little credit for that...i give them a little respect, for whatever it's worth.

Arizona has a population ratio of 86.5 percent white. Police force is usually more white than that in most cases so what does that say.

It is safe to say the perpetrators in this case will not be racially profiled.

it says right on there white people not of Hispanic descent 56%...
it also says they include Hispanic people in all categories. thats where you got the 85%

research prison breaks, they really arent THAT uncommon,,,,I would expect it to be on the news in the area where it happens,, but thats about it,,
