To anyone who feels this is true...consider that you may be dating the wrong women. Just a thought.

Demographics don't lie:

Mario's pretty darned accurate for this county.

I just think it's very presumptuous for guys to think they know how all women are based on their own experiences. The part of the equation that they seem to miss is THEMSELVES. Their experiences with women are derived from they way THEY interact with them.... it's cool guys just blame it all on us so your ego can remain in tact.

Being born and raised in California and having spent most of my adulthood in Orange County, I understand your perspective. This town's different though. In fact, it's special in a retarded way.

I know Myka and you're right but if they truly think that, there is no changing their perspective. People who don't do a personal inventory and find blame in others will continue to do so regardless of logic or reason. I really do love the way you tell it like it is.flowerforyou

I give up Atlantis... you come here and ask questions and throw out your theories but you are never receptive to any feedback that doesn't mirror your own sentiments. Why ask when you are so sure you already know the answer?

Hey, it's not even my topic!

Why ask when you are so sure you already know the answer?

Oh..I'm not sure..just waiting for someone to give me a serious challenge.

I don't see that ever happening since you are so sure you're already right.

I'm a very understanding man..and I can be turned. The more and more of women I encounter who just in it for gold digging, the more it strengthens my beliefs about what is the dating is all about in the 21st. century.
And it's no surpise really. We are in a dire economic situation in the past 3 years now. There are more guys out of work than women. (that's not my assumption, that's real-deal statistics). Of course, it's really a "class problem", meaning that in the past..let's say 10 years ago, whoever couldn't make a lot of money was assumed to be either lazy or lack of schooling and intelligence. It's not the same today. Today, we got rocket scientists out of work, due to lack of jobs.
Nothing is more crushing for a guy who studied all his life to be someone great, is to be turned down from jobs and do work, that he was never intended to do and misery makes them to do so, or face unemployment.
Once you have someone to that point, of course it's gonna effect other parts of his life too as well, and that means, that beside him being turned down by employers, is also gonna face a lot of turn-downs by women, who still can't understand and have their heads stuck in the sand (or in the clouds) not seeing what is going on in the world. Many people are demoralized by the current event and of course it's gonna effect their way of dating and making relationships or even just consider it, and trust me it doesn't make it any better to encounter countless number of women who placed them guys on a lower rank, due to their situation and not being able to understand (brain block?) that the reason they are so demoralized have little do to with the character or his standards of living, but more has to do with the economic crisis and the standards of living slipping down the slippery slope and "middle america" is literally being wiped out.
why is that significant for dating? Because many men are looking for serious relationships, but how can you even think ahead of a serious relationship without thinking about family life and good living, when a serious ingredient is missing ~ which is a good paying job and a career? Most people still don't see the light at the end of the tunnel, only sees dark and uncertainty, so they have doubts about "what next" and it's a serious consideration to try to make a relationship and build on it, when the future lookout is still not looking clear at all.

...
I place this sentence separately ~ half of the people reading the thread will not even read what I just wrote up there, claiming it's too much to read.

And that makes me sad.

I understand all of that Atlantis but how can you expect us (women) to love you guys when you don't love yourselves, regardless of the cause?

A new pic and loving yourself have NOTHING to do with each other.

Oh but if I'd hate myself I wouldn't take pictures of me. LOL I really don't hate myself Myka. I just sort of..have a little hate for everyone else in an equal way...

so yeah..to be concrete, I hate everyone equally, while liking myself. laugh

That's a no. Read my other thread (waiting game)..I don't want to be liked for reasons other may like me. I don't like it when it's too easy. Me getting dumped with a really good reason is a turn on for me. The reason has to be other than materialism though..that's just not something I have a full control over (yet).
I just love challenges, and there isn't anyone to give me a good reason to go after.
So yeah..in a summary I'm looking for a woman who would give me a challenge, but a legit one and it isn't about my looks or money. A twisty turny one that will make me work hard..but at the end she will feel like winning the grand prize. happy

So you want to annoy the piss out of someone and then win her back by proving her wrong about you.... are you courting me?

LOL, no! I don't want to annoy and win back anyone. Some women likes me and let's me know they like me..they just don't give in so easily. I'm not courting you..I'm just answering to your questions.

but admit it..you either like my cynicism or you feel it's your "duty" to defeat me about how wrong I am. Right? But you do like my posts, because it's just so wrong on so many levels and you are not sure if I'm screwing around or I'm being serious..and you hate that hmm?

Two ways to look at this. It's human nature - People have always gone for those who had the most money, highest status, biggest influence. That's why there's sycophants and easy women (and men) running around looking for the rich ones for their handouts. It's not even human nature, its mammalian behavior. Many species do it.

2 - Self-Fulfilling prophecy. If you feel like you'll never meet anyone, you won't. If you feel like you won't succeed, you won't. If you think she's going to leave in X number of years, she probably will. Even moreso if you go on about your ex leaving you and you knowing she will too. At some point the whole "screw it" mentality kicks in.

Honestly, not every woman wants a rich man. But women do want someone willing to work, and even if they aren't working and bringing in the money, doing stuff around the place, instead of sitting around watching TV. Why would anyone want to be in a relationship, where they're not equally in the harness? I have a cousin whose wife works. The rest of my family thinks its horrible and thinks it emasculates him. However, he keeps the house, takes care of the babies, and genuinely enjoys it. So does his wife. She's not the maternal type. It works for them, they agreed upon it, and they're happy. They did the same thing my folks did. Who wanted to work, and who made the most money...
