I went to my first Unity Church service this morning. Found a local group. The message was on Karma and it was one of the better ones I've heard. They were a little too "love, love, joy, joy" for me. But, overall my experience was good.
I know every church is going to be different depending on the actual people attending, but I am wondering if anyone else has ever been to a Unity Church and what you thought of it overall? |

Is that the church where they use snakes? I saw a special on that....... Why, yes! Yes, it is. The bite on my leg is swelling more than they said it would. But, I'm sure it'll be fine.

I've never been to one. As long as they're teaching from the Holy Bible, and only the Holy Bible, then they're alright with me. I've been to Baptist, Presbyterian, Catholic, Assembly of God, and maybe some others I can't remember.
Assembly of God is where I feel most at home though. |

I've never been to one. As long as they're teaching from the Holy Bible, and only the Holy Bible, then they're alright with me. I've been to Baptist, Presbyterian, Catholic, Assembly of God, and maybe some others I can't remember. Assembly of God is where I feel most at home though. They are not. Their Christianity lines up more with my own spiritual beliefs and conservative Christians would not agree with what they teach. On the surface I agree with their teachings and that is why I am checking them out. But, you never really know what's going on inside a religious organization until you've been there a while. Which is why I'm asking. |

Unity is a great place. Been going there for years. Both my parnets funerals have been there. The black guy that sings there is awesome too.

I know every church is going to be different depending on the actual people attending, but I am wondering if anyone else has ever been to a Unity Church and what you thought of it overall? Is Unity affiliated with Unitarian, Universal Unitarians? If so I went back E. for awhile, until my church was so small they had to close it and we had to drive 1 1/2 hours to get to the other one. Which we did but there, a large congregation, was pretty much gay and my ex wasn't comfortable and i wasn't allowed to drive due to uncontrolled seizures at the time. |
