something isn't just right here....

You don't have children according to your profile... why do you want to know if parents spank their children?

well thats a good question, it depends on the parent, i don't spank mine i find it completely unsuccessful, there are better ways at least to me to make a child understand when they did something wrong, and more memorable punishments than spanking and hitting. children understand more than what people give them credit for.

I believe in spanking naughty GFs!

my perents spanked me and if i have kids of my own some day i don't think i would spank them, i would try and see what is the problem first and try and work it out long before hitting

if they need to be disapline in a far way then yes.
if its over something stupid then i would say no

i cant even recall the last time i even spanked my daughter maybe when she was 3yrs old.(a guess) she now 27yrs. and i have never seen her spank her own kids..



i remember when i was younger around 9yrs i think. my parents were still together and my older sister had shared the car with my other sister and they got into a argument about the keys or something and my dad totaly went off and he drag my older sister across the living room floor and im sure the neighbors could hear her yelling..

i brought that up to her not to long ago and she didnt even remember that

....NOPE... ...i think there are better ways of getting ones point across that doesnt have to resort to hitting..after all in the long run what would that be teaching the child.. if someone doesn't do what you tell them to then hit them..

..i view spanking as a rather archaic for of discipline,,surely we have evolved beyond that ..i think spanking is used more often than not when the parent has lost patience ..and yes i have raised my own child and i spanked him once...i couldn't do it again..

...i honestly think that in the long run one would have a better relationship with their child if they didn't spank them..but instaed found another form of discipline ..like time outs..

..i have a very good relationship with my son who is 19 now and a typical teenager..i truly think this is a result of finding a better way of disciplining him was he was little..

love and understanding goes alot farther than spanking and verbal assaults..again jmo

every parent is different. Different ways. Different thoughts

as long as we are not abusing any child in any way
